AP Bren Claims MPL Philippines Season 12 Crown and Qualifies for M5 World Championship and MPLI

AP Bren dominated the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 Grand Finals, defeating Blacklist International 4-1 in a dominating fashion. With this victory, AP Bren secures the MPL Philippines Season 12 crown, a direct invitation to MPLI 2023 in Jakarta, and a slot at the upcoming M5 World Championship in Manila.

David “FlapTzy” Canon was named the Grand Finals MVP for his stellar performance throughout the series. He was instrumental in propelling AP Bren to victory, consistently making key plays and leading the team to victory.

Earlier in the day, Francis “Ducky” Glindro was inducted into the MPL Philippines Hall of Legends for his incomparable contributions to the MLBB esports scene and the community. Ducky is the first Filipino coach to win an M-series event, and he has led AP Bren to several international successes this season.

MPLI 2023 will take place at GBK Basketball Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia and will feature sixteen international teams, including the inclusion of North America, China, and the MENA region. This will be the first time that MPL-PH teams will square up against China, and it will be exciting to see how the national representatives perform against the global Kings of MOBA.

The M5 World Championship will take place in December at the EVM Convention Centre and Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila. Tickets for the early bird PH Super Pass and MVP Pass Grand Finals are already sold out, but Regular Ticket sales will begin on November 4.

For the first time, there will be an official voting event and prestigious awards ceremony to celebrate the ten greatest players in the history of M Series. An official handover ceremony will also be held on the last day to officially announce the next M Series host. On November 4, 2023, the M5 Group Draw will be streamed on official social media pages.

Meanwhile, a fan and media conference will be held to officially send off both Blacklist International and AP Bren with their families. A nationwide watch party will also be mounted to rally behind the teams in their journey.

This is a monumental moment for Philippine esports, as two Filipino teams will be representing the country at the upcoming M5 World Championship. With AP Bren and Blacklist International both in top form, the Philippines has a strong chance of bringing home the championship.
