ECHO Proud Wins Back-to-Back MDL-PH Championships

ECHO Proud, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League (MDL-PH) team of ECHO, has made history by winning back-to-back championships in the league’s second season. The team defeated Omega Neos in the grand finals, 3-1, to take home the title and the biggest share of the prize pool worth USD 20,000.

ECHO Proud was led by Justine “Zaida” Palma, who was named the Grand Finals Most Valuable Player (FMVP). Zaida is known for his signature Lancelot hero, which he used to great effect throughout the playoffs.

Other members of ECHO Proud include Johnville “Outplayed” Villar, Santi “Santi Sucre” Noble, Jankurt Russel “KurtTzy” Matira, James “Jeymz” Gloria, and Aaren Maximos “Sindel” Palomo. The team is coached by Ronnel Jayson “Cjay” Espinoza.

ECHO Proud’s victory is a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication. Despite the absence of Jaypee “Jaypee” Cruz, who is currently fielding the MPL-PH counterpart, the MDL-PH team still showcased a dominating run.

“We proved that even without daddy Jaypee (in the ECHO Proud roster), we can do it,” said roamer James “Jeymz” Gloria. “What we lost was Jaypee’s captain skills, so we adjusted and worked together. We needed to step up because he was gone,” added Johnville “Outplayed” Villar.

Meanwhile, the team also asked fans to support their MPL Philippines counterparts who are headed to the MPL-PH Season 12 Playoffs season starting 25 October 2023. “Please also support our team (ECHO Loud) in the upcoming Playoffs,” shared Jeymz.
