MOONTON Games and DOT Forge Partnership to Co-Host M5 World Championship

MOONTON Games, the international gaming developer and publisher of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the Philippines Department of Tourism (DOT) to co-host the M5 World Championship. The M5 World Championship is the world’s biggest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports event, and it will be held in Manila, Philippines, from December 2 to 17, 2023.

The partnership between MOONTON Games and the DOT is a significant one, as it cements the official endorsement of MOONTON Games hosting the international championship in Manila. It also establishes the framework between the global developer and DOT for hosting the tournament, which is set to welcome tens of thousands of offline fans and millions of online viewers.

M5 World Championship Venues and Ticket Prices Announced

The M5 World Championship will be held at three different venues: the Wild Card stage will be held at Jio Space in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 23 to 26, 2023, while the Group Stage and Knockout Stage Phase I will be held at EVM Convention Center in Quezon City, Philippines, from December 2 to 12, 2023. The Knockout Stage Phase II and Grand Finals will be held at Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila, Philippines, from December 15 to 17, 2023.

Early bird tickets for the M5 World Championship are now on sale at https://slashevent.com/e/m5-world-championship. There are two types of tickets available: the PH Super Pass and the MVP Pass.

The PH Super Pass is priced at PHP2,899.00 (USD 51.70) and comes with a limited edition M5 World Championship hoodie. It gives fans access to all matches that feature either of the qualifying Filipino teams (MPL PH representatives).

The MVP Pass is priced differently depending on the stage of the tournament. For the Group Stage, it costs PHP500.00 (USD 8.78) per match. For Knockout Stage Phase I, it costs PHP700.00 (USD 12.30) per match. And for Knockout Stage Phase II and the Grand Finals, it costs PHP1,199.00 (USD 21.07) per match. The MVP Pass gives fans exclusive access to front row seats, priority access, and express access for team meet-and-greet sessions.

Discounts for MPL PH Fans

MPL PH fans are in for a treat, as they will be entitled to a 10% discount on M5 regular tickets. To redeem the discount, MPL PH ticket holders must input their respective email addresses to purchase the respective M5 passes at 10% off. The discount can only be redeemed once, and it is valid from November 4 to December 16, 2023.

M5 World Championship to Feature Wild Card Format

This year’s M5 World Championship will feature a Wild Card format for the first time. The Wild Card stage will be held in Malaysia from November 23 to 26, 2023. The top two teams from the Wild Card stage will proceed to the main stage. This makes the M5 World Championship the most extensive and diversified Mobile Legends: Bang Bang international tournament, featuring 15 regions and 69 countries from five continents.

Fan Conference and Watch Parties

To celebrate the M5 World Championship, a fan conference will be held in the Philippines to commemorate the MPL PH representatives with their families and fans ahead of the Group Stage. Watch parties will also be hosted across the globe, featuring popular MLBB talents. More details on offline activations will be shared at a later date.
