Riot Shows Exclusives for Valorant Championship 2022.
22 AUGUST 2022 – 16 of the top professional teams in the world are preparing for the VALORANT Champions 2022, the year-end finale of the VCT, where only one team will be awarded the VALORANT World Champion, after a grueling year of regional and international competitions in the VALORANT Champions Tour (“VCT”).
Three representatives from the Asia Pacific (“APAC”) area will compete for the opportunity to make history on the international stage. Paper Rex will look to continue their historic run as the first APAC team to advance to the Masters final at the forthcoming Champions 2022. They will be joined by XERXIA, who overcame adversity to represent the area on the international stage. The last APAC participant to successfully defend their position in the APAC LCQ is Boom Esports.
“It’s been such a huge year in VALORANT for our region. This year we saw our teams progress further than ever before on the international stage. Our APAC teams wowed audiences with their aggressive and unorthodox plays and made the world sit up and take notice. APAC teams have proven that they should not be underestimated and we are looking forward to seeing them perform at Champions. I hope our fans will join us in cheering these teams on!” said Mark Chui, Marketing Lead, Esports of Riot Games in APAC.
Riot has planned a variety of social content and activities for fans to enjoy on the Road to Champions from late August through early September now that all three APAC representatives have been announced.
APAC Rising Music Video: Riot and Singaporean beatboxer Dharni created an APAC Rising anthem as a way to honor our APAC representatives. The song will shortly be released on VALORANT’s social media accounts.
Pro-Team Murals Commissioned: In order to honor the talent and fervor of APAC teams, Riot Games will collaborate with top artists in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia to immortalize their tales in a collection of unique murals that fans can see in person! Sam Lo in Singapore, piyasak khiaosa-ard in Thailand, and ongkogx in Indonesia will all be collaborating with Riot.
Fans can find these murals at:
- Singapore: *SCAPE, 2 Orchard Link, 237978
- Thailand: Victory Hub, 459 13-15 Ratchawithi Rd, Khwaeng Thanon Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400
- Indonesia: MBloc Space, Jln Panglima Polim No.37, Melawai, South Jakarta
By participating in a caption competition from 24 August to 9 September 2022, fans will also have the opportunity to win replicas of these works of art that have been personally autographed by the professional teams. On IMPORTANT social media networks, further details about the murals and caption competition will be available.
Exclusive APAC Champions Swag: To commemorate this year’s event, Riot will create exclusive APAC Champions swag kits. In the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia, participating media outlets are giving away bespoke snapbacks, t-shirts, lanyards, and mousepads to fans.

IRL Paintball Competition: In order to get XERXIA ready for their journey to VALORANT Champions 2022, we asked them to a scrim. Not just any scrim, though; XERXIA will compete against a team of A-list influencers in a 5v5 IRL Paintball match that mimics all the traits of champions, including shoutcasters, coaches, and even strategies.
Finally, VALORANT Champions 2022 will take place from 31 August – 18 September in Istanbul, Turkey.
