PCS 2024 Spring Split: A Phoenix Rises, Eight Teams Ignite!
PCS 2024 Spring Split: A Phoenix Rises, Eight Teams Ignite!
Get ready for a Pacific clash of epic proportions! The PCS 2024 Spring Split explodes onto the scene on January 19th, with eight fiery teams battling it out across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau. This season promises to be hotter than ever, with renowned players like Karsa and SwordArt returning to raise the bar and ignite the competition.
But wait, there’s more! The PCS ecosystem expands this year, welcoming the top three teams from the League of Legends Japan League (LJL) into the fray for the Playoffs. And if that wasn’t enough, the top two teams from the League of Legends Circuit Oceania (LCO) join the fight for global glory at MSI and Worlds!
Eight formidable teams stand ready to test their mettle: Beyond Gaming, CTBC Flying Oyster, Deep Cross Gaming, Frank Esports, Hell Pigs, PSG Talon, Taipei J Team, and West Point Esports. But two familiar names are missing – PSG Academy and Nate9527 – making way for a fresh and explosive season.
Brace yourselves, for the format is ablaze with change! All matches are BO3 infernos, and the Regular Season is a two-phase crucible. Phase one is a Single Round Robin, testing every team’s fire. Phase two heats things up further, dividing teams into two groups based on their first phase performance. Then, another Single Round Robin ignites, forging the final Playoffs seeding.
And for a spicy twist, buckle up for the 1v1 Showdown! Teams duke it out in this pre-match battle, claiming the right to pick their side for Game 1. Talk about a strategic scorcher!
Mark your calendars, League fans! The PCS 2024 Spring Split kicks off on January 19th with CFO vs BYG and DCG vs WP. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, witness the flames of competition rise as eight teams battle for regional supremacy and a chance to blaze onto the global stage. So grab your popcorn, settle in, and prepare for a season hotter than a dragon’s breath!
