Sibol Bags IESF WEC 2023 MLBB Championship

The Philippines team (SIBOL) won the championship title at the IESF World Esports Championship 2023 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament. They defeated Indonesia in a thrilling best-of-five series to claim the lion’s share of the USD 100,000 prize pool. This was the first clean sweep for the national SIBOL team, who had also won the qualifiers.

The Finals Best of 5 Series showcased how team Sibol was able to adjust after dropping their first game the entire tournament. The team took the next 3 games to take the championship.

The championship took place in Iași, Romania, and featured 16 international teams. Saudi Arabia came in third place, followed by Egypt in fourth. Saudi Arabia was the surprise team of the tournament showing their growth from the start. The team made it all the way to the Upper bracket finals only dropping matches to the two best teams in all of MLBB. Things are looking up for the arabian team.

The Philippines has a strong history in esports, and this victory is a testament to the country’s growing talent and passion for the industry. The SIBOL team is now considered one of the best Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams in the world, and they will be looking to defend their title at the next IESF World Esports Championship.
