Riot Games Philippines Launches Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2025 with ₱1.5M Prize Pool
MANILA – Riot Games Philippines has officially announced the return of Wild Rounds: Pilipinas, the nationwide grassroots tournament for League of Legends: Wild Rift, now heading into its second season with an upgraded ₱1.5 million prize pool and an expanded tournament roadmap running from Q2 to Q4 2025.
Following its successful inaugural run, Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2025 continues Riot PH’s mission to build a stronger grassroots ecosystem for Wild Rift, offering more rewarding experiences for loyal players and Filipino gaming communities.
“Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2025 is our way of keeping our ever-supportive core communities alive, while bringing Wild Rift even closer to more Filipino players,” said Joel Guzman, Country Manager of Riot Games Philippines. “By aligning with Riot Games’ global calendar and patch updates, we see to it that our local activations deliver world-class gaming experiences.”
Weekly Activations and Regional Qualifiers
The second season is already heating up with Wild Rift Wednesdays, a weekly creator and community play series that launched in April. This initiative highlights popular content creators and fosters regular engagement among Filipino Wild Rift fans.
Starting this May, Riot Games PH is also teaming up with Ground Zero Tournament to host a series of regional grassroots events. Running until October, these tournaments aim to spotlight hyper-local talent and give amateur players across the country a platform to compete—mirroring the excitement of the pro scene.
Tournament Schedule and Format
Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2025 will follow a three-split, nationwide open format:

Wild Rounds: Smash Returns with New Format
Alongside the open tournament, Riot PH is also bringing back Wild Rounds: Smash, the all-star invitational tournament featuring top pro teams and influencers in a newly revamped format. Organizers will soon reveal the participating teams and personalities, promising electrifying cross-regional showdowns.
Wild Rift Turns Five in October
In celebration of Wild Rift’s fifth anniversary in the Philippines, Riot Games will roll out in-game events, exclusive rewards, and surprise content this October—marking five years of redefining the mobile MOBA experience for Filipino gamers.
“This year’s tournament, along with our other exciting lineup of activities for Wild Rift, are a manifestation of our consistent dedication to the community,” said Kimi Salazar, MOBA Brand Manager at Riot Games Philippines. “Our goal is to inspire deeper engagement and unite players, creators, and gaming communities across the country.
