HomeBois Triumphs at MSC 2024 Wild Card, Sets Stage for Global Showdown

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 Wild Card Stage has concluded, with Malaysia’s HomeBois emerging victorious! They’ve secured the final spot in the Group Stage, joining 15 other international teams vying for the coveted championship title and a slice of the massive USD 3,000,000 prize pool.

HomeBois Battles Through Wild Card Stage

HomeBois, founded by prominent esports figure Nureddy Nursal (“Daddyhood”), battled valiantly against seven other teams. The team, featuring a mix of established Malaysian players and rising stars from the Philippines and Indonesia, dominated the Wild Card Stage. Their grueling Best-of-Five (BO5) victory against Entity7 earned them a well-deserved spot on the Main Stage and the chance to #SeeTheWorld.

HomeBois Ready for Group Stage Challenge

HomeBois will now compete in Group C alongside Liquid ECHO, Team Spirit, and Twisted Minds. Their first match is scheduled for July 3rd, 14:00 (GMT+3), against Team Spirit.

HomeBois Assistant Coach, Jeffrey “Jeff” Manforte, expressed his excitement: “We’re thrilled to reach the Group Stage. However, the fight doesn’t stop here. We’ll stay focused and push for even greater heights.”

Head Coach Khairul Azman “Pabz” bin Mohd Sharif echoed his sentiment: “We all aspire to be champions. This time, with the help of our talented imports, we’re well-equipped to address our past shortcomings and achieve our goals.”

Record-Breaking Wild Card Viewership

The inaugural MSC 2024 Wild Card Stage shattered viewership records. According to Esports Charts, it garnered a peak concurrent viewership (PCV) of 373,543, surpassing the M5 World Championship Wild Card record of 271,822 PCV. HomeBois even featured in four out of the five most-watched Wild Card matches!

Esports Charts Co-Founder and CEO, Artyom Odintsov, commented: “These figures show that the MSC is rapidly gaining global recognition, potentially rivaling the most established MLBB tournaments. MLBB’s international expansion is attracting new audiences beyond Southeast Asia, and we expect the Main Stage to break even more records.”

MOOTON Games’ Head of Esports Ecosystem, Ray Ng, reiterated their vision: “This year’s revamped MSC, held outside of Southeast Asia, allows teams and viewers to #SeeTheWorld. We’re proud to provide a platform for emerging regions to showcase their talent on the global stage at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh.”
