Former RSG manager Lexie clears up details on RSG exiting MPL PH scene

MAKATI – On Thursday, the Raiders received confirmation that RSG Philippines will exit the MPL Philippines, alongside RSG Malaysia and their home turf in Singapore.

In their social media posts, all RSG branches shared similar announcements, stating, “Together we Rose, Slain our enemies and now we call GG,” signaling the organization’s departure from the game’s esports scene.

Fans were left wondering on the organization’s next step, especially with their social media handles putting up “or is it?” in their respective graphic.

Fulcrum Esports had a quick catch-up with former RSG Philippines’ Country Manager, Lexie Yambao, who now manages Twisted Minds PH, to discuss her former organization’s decision to move forward.

Yambao admitted that while the organization decided to disband their teams, she was unsure about RSG’s specific plans moving forward.

“What I know is mag-stop lang talaga yung operations ng PH because of what happened last season. Iba na yung target ng RSG as a whole. So, I’m not sure what will happen next to RSG,” she said.

RSG Philippines endured their worst performance in franchise history, finishing seventh Season 14. They ended the season with a 3-11 record, with their 10th loss of the season confirming their fate.

The former RSG PH manager had already set her expectations regarding the team’s fate, but she expressed concern about the future of the players under her care.

“So, ako, in-expect ko na siya nung December. Nothing was confirmed then. So, lately lang nalaman,” she said. “Yung sa players, nag-worry lang din ako na, kung saan sila pupunta.”

However, she assured that transactions for the players were already underway.

Yambao also expressed her gratitude to the Raiders, who have supported the team since their debut in Season 8. She also called out for fans to support her now-former players.

“Mga Raiders, maraming-maraming salamat, and nandyan pa rin kayo kahit anong mangyari. Sana supportahan nyo pa rin yung mga players sa susunod na journey, kung saan man sila magpunta,” she said.
