Bigetron’s Vivian Makes History at The Sphere, Las Vegas

Indonesian Star Represents Women’s Mobile Legends on Global Stage

Marking a significant moment for women in esports, Vivian “Vivian” Indrawaty of Bigetron Era became the first female Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) athlete to be featured at The Sphere, a colossal entertainment venue in Las Vegas. This appearance coincides with the launch of the Esports World Cup campaign, which includes the prestigious Mid-Season Cup and the much-anticipated Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2024.

Vivian’s feature at The Sphere, which took place on April 21st, commemorates Indonesia’s Kartini Day, honoring R.A. Kartini’s fight for women’s rights. Sharing her experience, Vivian states, “Being on The Sphere and representing MLBB women came as a surprise. Starting as a casual player, my dedication has led to remarkable achievements. To all women pursuing their dreams, never give up on negativity and keep fighting!”

A Rising Star and National Inspiration

Since her professional debut in 2020, Vivian has consistently delivered stellar performances in official MLBB tournaments. As part of Team Indonesia, she secured a gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games, setting a high bar for women’s esports in Indonesia. Her contributions extend to the Women’s Star League and Unipin Series, where she has consistently raised the bar for local female athletes.

This year, Vivian led Bigetron ERA to victory in the Women’s Star League Season 8, securing not only a coveted MWI 2024 slot but also a direct entry to the upcoming MDL Indonesia season. This unprecedented move will pit Bigetron ERA against male teams for the first time, creating a historic moment in the Indonesian MLBB scene.

The Face of MWI 2024 and Esports Champion

Vivian’s exceptional track record made her the ideal choice to represent the MWI 2024, scheduled for the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her appearance at The Sphere marks a groundbreaking moment, as she becomes the first woman esports athlete showcased on this iconic digital display covering a staggering 45,000 square meters.

Esports Goes Global: A New Era

The Esports World Cup’s initiative to showcase MLBB athletes at The Sphere signifies the growing mainstream appeal of esports. This global tournament aims to establish a centralized platform for the best esports titles, setting new standards for professional players and competition. The combined prize pool for the Mid-Season Cup and MWI 2024 stands at a staggering $3.5 million, further solidifying the financial weight of the industry.

With Bigetron’s Vivian Makes History at the Sphere and other talented players like FlapTzy on the scene, both tournaments have the potential to reshape the landscape of mobile esports. This event represents a significant step towards greater inclusivity and recognition for women in the competitive gaming world.

Both Vivi and FlapTzy are set to set a new global standard at both tournaments, which will change the course of mobile esports.
