VCT ASCENSION PACIFIC 2023: What to Expect!

One out ten teams will be crowned the top stars of their regions after months of hard competition in the VCT Challengers Pacific thanks to their sheer talent, willpower, and tenacity. However, only 1 team will advance to fill their position in the VCT Pacific conference.

Teams from Japan, Korea, Oceania, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia & Singapore, Taiwan & Hong Kong, and South Asia have the chance to be elevated to the status of an international league through VCT Ascension Pacific, giving them the opportunity to compete for spots in major tournaments, Masters, and Champions. Additionally, there will be a USD 100,000 total prize fund at stake.

The tournament will be played on LAN in front of a live audience in Bangkok, Thailand. Ticketing information will be released soon, so stay tuned!

FORMAT

The Group Stage of the competition will begin, where two groups of five teams each will compete in a single round robin with a best-of-3 format.

Each group’s top 3 clubs will proceed to the playoffs. The top 2 teams from the group stage will receive byes into the semifinals without having to play. The Quarterfinals will begin with the other 4 teams.

There will be a single elimination tournament for the playoffs. A best-of-5 Grand Final will follow the best-of-3 early Playoff rounds.

SCHEDULE

Ascension Pacific will unfold across 10 days of intense competition from 28 June – 9 July. The tournament is structured in two stages:

Group Stage: 28 June – 4 July
Playoffs: 7 – 9 July

Tournament day matches will begin at the following times:

Group Stage: 13:00 THA // 14:00 GMT+8
Playoffs: 16:00 THA // 17:00 GMT+8
