MANILA — Eight teams remain in contention for a slot at Masters Toronto as the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025: Pacific Stage 1 heads into its playoff stage following five weeks of group stage action.
Three teams will advance to the second international stop of the 2025 VCT season, which will take place in Canada this June, joining qualified squads from other regions.
BOOM, RRQ secure semis slots
BOOM Esports and Rex Regum Qeon booked direct spots in the upper bracket semifinals after topping their respective groups.
The Indonesian powerhouse BOOM finished the group stage undefeated, sweeping Gen.G, Global Esports, and DetonatioN FocusMe, while surviving tight three-map series against Paper Rex and DRX.
Meanwhile, RRQ emerged on top of a four-way tie in Group B after edging out TALON, T1, and Nongshim RedForce via tiebreakers. Despite a final-day loss to Team Secret, the Indonesian side kept their lead and secured the second upper bracket semis slot.
Upper bracket opens with regional clashes
TALON Esports will face Gen.G in the first round of the upper bracket. TALON ended the group stage with a 3–2 record following an up-and-down campaign, while Gen.G also finished with the same slate after suffering a 1–2 loss to DRX in their last outing.
The winner of the match will advance to face BOOM in the semifinals.
In the other half, it will be an all-Korean affair between DRX and T1. DRX head into playoffs with a 4–1 record, their only loss coming from BOOM in Week 4, while T1 finished with a 3–2 slate after back-to-back defeats against RRQ and TALON.
The winner of DRX vs. T1 will face RRQ in the next round.
PRX, NS RedForce look to bounce back in lower bracket

Paper Rex and Nongshim RedForce will begin their playoff campaigns in the lower bracket, waiting for the losers of the upper bracket round one matches.
NS RedForce will face the loser of TALON vs. Gen.G on May 3, after finishing fourth in Group B with key wins against RRQ, Team Secret, and ZETA Division.
Paper Rex, who started their season 0–3, bounced back with two straight wins late in the season to stay alive. They will await the loser of DRX vs. T1 in the other lower bracket fixture.
