VALORANT unveils Waylay, Thailand’s prismatic Duelist for Season 2025 – Act II

During the VCT Masters: Bangkok Grand Finals, Riot Games introduced Waylay, the latest Radiant agent to join VALORANT’s expanding roster. Hailing from Thailand, Waylay embodies the essence of light, using her prismatic abilities to strike swiftly and disappear in an instant.

Waylay will be the shooting game’s 28th agent, and the second this 2025 following the release of Tejo last January.

Waylay’s Abilities

Waylay’s mobility-focused kit allows her to manipulate light, making her a formidable duelist in high-speed engagements. Her Refract ability lets her place a beacon of light on the floor, which she can reactivate to teleport back in an instant, becoming invulnerable while traveling.

With Light Speed, she can dash forward twice or perform a single dash upward, giving her an edge in both chases and escapes. Saturate enables her to throw a cluster of radiant energy that explodes upon impact, severely hindering enemy movement and weapon handling speed.

inally, her ultimate, Convergent Paths, allows her to project an afterimage that releases a beam of prismatic energy. After a short delay, she gains a powerful speed boost, while the expanding beam disorients and hinders enemies caught in its radius.

New Cyrax Collection and Battlepass

Alongside Waylay’s arrival, Act II introduces the Cyrax skin collection, a futuristic, starforged crystal-themed lineup featuring the Vandal, Ghost, Guardian, Stinger, and a Fanblade melee weapon.

The weapons in this collection boast a galactic, pulsating aesthetic, with animated crystalline structures and a deep-space inspired color palette. The skins also come with unique sound effects and kill animations, giving them an otherworldly presence on the battlefield.

The new Act II Battlepass brings an array of exciting cosmetics, catering to both casual and competitive players. Among the standout items are the Byteshift Ghost, featuring a sleek digital-inspired design, and the Doom Wing Phantom, an aggressive, dark-themed weapon skin.

The Sloth Tactics Gun Buddy adds a humorous touch, while the Tactibear Flex spray showcases the beloved in-game mascot in a new dynamic pose. Players can also collect the Heartless Player Card, depicting an enigmatic, lore-driven artwork that ties into VALORANT’s ever-expanding narrative.
