Twisted Minds Ends Partnership with BEAR Esports Following MDL-PH Ruling

MANILA — Twisted Minds has cut ties with BEAR Esports just hours after the MLBB Development League Philippines (MDL-PH) handed down a ruling against five of the team’s players for violating league rules.

In an official statement, Twisted Minds confirmed the immediate termination of its partnership with BEAR Esports, citing a “zero-tolerance stance toward breaches of competitive integrity.” The organization also announced that the implicated players are permanently banned from representing Twisted Minds in any capacity.

This move comes after MDL-PH imposed a two-year ban on the Twisted Minds BEAR players from all Moonton-sponsored competitions, including the MPL and MDL.

“Twisted Minds condemns all forms of match-fixing, cheating, or conduct that compromises competitive integrity.,” the statement read. “To protect the values of our organization and the wider esports community, we are implementing stricter oversight and compliance standards across all future academy affiliations.”

The decision mirrors a move in 2023 when Blacklist International terminated its partnership with Team Lunatix during MDL-PH Season 2. Blacklist eventually took over the team’s operations for the remainder of the season.

For now, it remains unclear whether Twisted Minds will directly manage its MDL slot moving forward. The team is currently at the bottom of their group standings with no wins in three matches and will compete in Group D of the seeding rounds.
