TOKYO— Bandai Namco dropped a barrage of explosive reveals at EVO Japan 2025, showcasing the upcoming roadmap for TEKKEN 8 with a mix of new features, iconic crossovers, and the return of a fan-favorite fighter in Fahkumram. The updates span three major patches — Versions 2.01 to 2.03 — bringing fresh content to players across PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Known for his devastating Muay Thai style, Fahkumram originally debuted in TEKKEN 7 and quickly became a fan-favorite for his punishing combos and stage control. His comeback is part of the Season 2 Character & Stage Pass, arriving in summer 2025 on PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Fahkumram’s reveal came alongside new stage updates and additional cosmetic content, all of which aim to enhance the TEKKEN 8 roster for casual and competitive players alike. His return signals a renewed focus on legacy fighters with updated mechanics for the franchise’s newest generation.

PAC-MAN Celebrates 45 Years with Colorful TEKKEN 8 Collaboration

As part of the Version 2.03 update, TEKKEN 8 will also pay tribute to PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary with a retro-themed DLC pack. The highlight is the all-new PAC-PIXELS Battle Stage, a visually rich and stylized arena filled with arcade-era inspiration, including PAC-MAN and his iconic ghost rivals.

Additional PAC-MAN-themed items will be released for free as part of the Round 6 Fight Pass. These include unique hit effects, a 45th anniversary T-shirt, a themed Tekken Ball, and a Plushie Ghost (PAC-MAN) accessory pack. This nostalgic crossover not only honors one of Bandai Namco’s oldest mascots but also bridges the legacy of two beloved franchises.

Karate Kid: Legends Becomes TEKKEN 8’s First Film Crossover

In a first for the TEKKEN series, TEKKEN 8 teams up with Sony Pictures for a movie-based collaboration featuring the upcoming film Karate Kid: Legends. This partnership marks the game’s first-ever feature film tie-in, set to roll out with the Version 2.02 update on June 2, 2025.

Players can unlock a limited-time Karate Kid: Legends Hoodie for free via the TEKKEN Shop. Additionally, the Urban Square stage will receive cosmetic updates with movie billboards, while the TEKKEN Fight Lounge will feature themed signage and a full in-game trailer promoting the film. Karate Kid: Legends premieres on May 30 in the U.S. and May 8 internationally.

The crossover encourages players to “Unleash Your Inner Warrior,” capturing the spirit of martial arts and cinematic storytelling—values shared by both the TEKKEN franchise and the Karate Kid legacy.

New Ghost Battle System Elevates the TEKKEN Fight Lounge

The first part of the new content rollout comes with Version 2.01, introducing the TEKKEN Ghost Showdown. This new feature enhances the TEKKEN Fight Lounge by allowing players to battle real-time versions of their AI-trained Ghosts, taking the game’s personalization to a competitive level.

Players can toggle AI learning on or off and delete outdated Ghost data. The system is designed to push player improvement and deepen the offline and training experience, aligning with TEKKEN 8’s continued push for innovation in both casual and esports gameplay.

TEKKEN 8 Doubles Down on Fan Experience

With these three major updates, Bandai Namco delivers a clear message: TEKKEN 8 is evolving with its players. From new and returning fighters to franchise crossovers and tech-forward features, the game is solidifying its place at the top of the fighting game hierarchy in 2025.

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor, a PAC-MAN fan, or a martial arts film enthusiast, TEKKEN 8’s Season 2 roadmap has something fresh for everyone.
