Teamfight Tactics Charts an All-New Voyage

Teamfight Tactics Charts an All-New Voyage in Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound

Teamfight Tactics, the wildly popular tactical auto-battler, is setting sail for a new adventure in Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound. This free update, launching on September 12, brings more than a dozen new champions, four new arenas, and a host of new features to the game.

Horizonbound takes players to the edges of Runeterra, with destinations in the dangerous smuggler haven Bilgewater and the reclusive jungle lands of Ixtal. Champions from both regions will be joining the action, including Illaoi, Graves, Twisted Fate, Nautilus, Miss Fortune, Nilah, and Gangplank.

In addition to new champions, Horizonbound also introduces a number of new features. One of the most significant changes is the introduction of Region Portals. These portals allow players to summon champions from different regions, creating new and unexpected synergies.

The new champions come from two of Runeterra’s most exotic regions: Bilgewater and Ixtal. Bilgewater is a dangerous smuggler haven known for its pirates and sea monsters, while Ixtal is a reclusive jungle land home to ancient magic.

Players will be able to battle it out in four new nautically themed arenas, each with its own unique challenges and rewards. The arenas are:

  • The Ship of Discovery: This arena is set on a massive galleon that is sailing through a stormy sea. Players will have to contend with the waves and the wind in order to emerge victorious.
  • The Scuba Sprite: This arena is located underwater, and players will have to navigate the coral reefs and shipwrecks in order to find their opponents.
  • The Stellacorn Lightcharger: This arena is set in a lush jungle, and players will have to battle through the vines and trees in order to reach their opponents.
  • The Knife Hound: This arena is set in a desert, and players will have to watch out for the sandstorms that can blind and disorient them.

Here is a more detailed look at some of the new features in Horizonbound:

  • Region Portals: Region Portals are special tiles that can appear on the battlefield. When a champion is placed on a Region Portal tile, they will be summoned from the corresponding region. This allows players to create teams with champions from different regions, opening up new possibilities for team composition.
  • Augments: Augments are powerful buffs that can be activated before the start of a battle. There are a variety of Augments available, each with its own unique effect. Some Augments can give players a significant advantage, so it will be important to choose them wisely.
  • New Items: Horizonbound introduces a number of new items. These items will give players even more options for customizing their teams. Some of the new items include the Serpent Slayer, which deals bonus damage to enemies with shields, and the Shadow’s Grasp, which creates a zone of darkness that slows enemies.

Horizonbound is a major update that is sure to shake up the TFT meta. With its new champions, arenas, and gameplay mechanics, Horizonbound is sure to offer players a fresh and challenging experience.

In addition to the new content, Horizonbound also includes a number of improvements to the overall TFT experience. These improvements include:

  • A new Champion Inspect feature that makes it easier to see what each champion brings to battle.
  • A number of bug fixes that improve the stability and performance of the game.

Horizonbound is set to launch on September 12, 2023. Players can pre-registration microsite for the update now on the TFT website.
