Team Liquid PH advances to MSC 2025 playoffs with sweep of ONIC ID

RIYADHMPL Philippines champions Team Liquid PH advance to the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2025 playoffs after a hard-fought 2-1 series win over ONIC Indonesia.

The Cavalry recover from a Game 1 setback with disciplined play and clutch decision-making, breaking through ONIC’s early dominance to secure the reverse sweep.

Team Liquid open the series strong, with Kiel “Oheb” Soriano’s Granger leading the early charge with six kills in 24 minutes. However, a misplay in the late game and the scaling power of Clayton Adrielo “Savero” Kuswanto and Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol swing the tide. ONIC capitalize with a final push to take Game 1 after a minute-long wipeout.

ONIC look poised to sweep after building a massive lead by the ninth minute in Game 2. But Oheb revives Team Liquid’s hopes with a critical Lord steal using Moskov’s Spear of Destruction.

Despite ONIC securing the second Lord and four takedowns shortly after, Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s Lancelot stalls long enough for his team to respawn. Liquid punish ONIC’s aggressive overextension, turning the tables and forcing a Game 3.

With momentum on their side, Team Liquid dominate the decider from start to finish. Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s Lapu-Lapu neutralizes ONIC’s crowd control, while Alston “Sanji” Pabico’s Valentina and Jaypee “Jaypee” dela Cruz’s Gatotkaca disrupt teamfights, sealing the series.

The win guarantees Team Liquid PH a playoff berth, a minimum of US$100,000 in prize money, and 200 club championship points.

ONIC Indonesia drop to the lower bracket, where they await the winner between Virtus.pro and Corinthians Esports.
