Team Liquid PH lifts Immortal Cup as MPL PH S15 champs; Sanji earns Finals MVP
MAKATI — It took them seven battles, but the Cavalry completed the conquest — with a new musketeer and a war tactician at the helm.
And they had their long-trusted artillery leading them to victory.
Team Liquid PH held off a spirited comeback attempt from ONIC Philippines to claim the MPL Philippines Season 15 championship, winning the series 4–3 at the Green Sun Hotel.
Midlane maestro Alston “Sanji” Pabico was named Finals MVP after putting up 10 kills, 17 deaths, and 58 assists across the series, while also getting the Infinix My Greatest Teammate Award
Blow-for-blow
The Cavalry drew first blood in a 23-minute Game 1, as Jaypee “Jaypee” dela Cruz’s Mathilda recorded two kills and 15 assists. But the Super Family answered back in Game 2, with Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ Harith scoring four kills and six assists.
ONIC took the series lead after a tight Game 3, again behind Kelra’s Harith, who dropped 8 kills and 6 assists while shutting down Jaypee’s Chip.
Sanji fired back in Game 4 with a steady Selena performance (4/3/6), before Kiel “Oheb” Soriano, the team’s long-range ace, delivered 10 kills and 2 assists in a grueling 26-minute Game 5 to put Liquid ahead 3–2.
The comeback and the fightback
Still, ONIC forced a decider with a dominant 14-minute Game 6, as Borris “Brusko” Parro’s Chou led the charge (1/0/10) and Kelra matched Oheb’s Game 5 numbers — using the same hero.
In Game 7, Team Liquid PH drafted both Luo Yi and Chip to control the map with surgical precision. A pivotal sixth-minute river clash shifted momentum permanently in their favor.
With ONIC lacking long-range heroes, the Cavalry capitalized and closed out the series just 11 minutes later.
The aftermath and the next siege

It’s the fourth MPL title for Oheb, Jaypee, and Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, with Oheb winning his first MPL title since Season 10 under Blacklist International.
John “Perkz” Sumawan and Coach Rodel “Arsy” Cruz had their first MPL title, with the latter winning it on his debut campaign in the Philippines.
Both squads now set their sights on Riyadh, where they’ll represent the Philippines in the MLBB Mid Season Cup at the Esports World Cup 2025, kicking off July 10.
