Team Liquid fall short against Vitality, settle for bronze match

RIYADH – Team Liquid PH’s title run ends at the hands of Indonesian powerhouse Team Vitality, who dominate their semifinals clash with a clean 3-0 sweep at the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2025.

The all-Filipina squad made waves in their tournament debut with strong performances in the group stage. However, they couldn’t find answers against the relentless aggression of the Siswanto sisters and the rest of Team Vitality.

Michelle Denise “CHEL” Siswanto took control early in Game 1 with a Granger pick—also denying Clarisse “CLA” Cordova her comfort hero—and finished with 8 kills and 5 assists. Her sister, Cindy Laurent “CINNY” Siswanto, complemented the attack with a flawless 3/0/9 Kimmy outing.

Kyla Mae “Sojuuu” Ramos’s Baxia was unable to sustain the frontlines, falling five times under Vitality’s pressure.

Vitality maintained the momentum in Game 2, finishing the match in under 10 minutes. CINNY continued her dominance with a 5/0/8 Kimmy, but it was Venny “FUMI EKO” Lim who stole the spotlight. Her Cici posted a clean 3/0/8 performance that dismantled TLPH’s tank-heavy composition of Kalea, Fredrinn, and Arlott.

Game 3 saw a stronger resistance from Team Liquid, with the Cavalry managing to repel several game-ending pushes. However, Viorelle Valencia “VIVAL” Chen proved to be the x-factor. Her Ling secured 10 kills, including clutch takedowns that sealed the deal.

CLA, usually the centerpiece of Liquid’s offense, was held to just 3 kills on a Moskov in a relatively quiet showing.

With the loss, Team Liquid PH will head to the third-place match against Myanmar’s Terror Queens, with a chance to boost their tournament earnings to $50,000.
