Snapdragon Pro Series S6 APAC Challenge Season’s 16 teams’ rosters, groups now official for week-long showdown
MANILA – The holiday season for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports scene will end earlier than the usual as 16 of the best teams from across the Southeast Asian region will battle it out in the upcoming ESL Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC Challenge Season from January 6 to 12.
ESL, the tournament organizers, has announced the group draw results for the 16 teams which will go under GSL format rules, similar to the format of the most recent IESF World Esports Championship’s MLBB event.
Four groups of four teams will compete in the said format, with the top team—the one getting a 2-0 series win-loss record—qualifying to the Challenge Finals, while the second-placed teams in each group will then compete in a Last Chance Qualifier to determine the two other teams to qualify to the Challenge Finals.
The six teams will join Falcons AP.Bren, Fnatic ONIC Indonesia, Selangor Red Giants, NIP Flash, See You Soon, and Falcon Esports in the Challenge Finals, which will happen in February in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Group A – Blacklist International (PH), EVOS Glory (ID), Fnatic ONIC PH (PH), Lazy Esports (PH)
EVOS Esports found themselves in hot water as the former Indonesian powerhouse will face two MPL Philippines top-four teams and the champion of MDL Philippines Season 4, which will be an interesting sight to see for MLBB fans.
However, all eyes will be on recently-crowned M6 World Champions Fnatic ONIC Philippines, who will surely grab the chance to show the heart and force of a champion.
