Selangor Red Giants collaborates with EU-based esports org OG for MPL MY S15

SELANGOR, Malaysia– Selangor Red Giants Esports (SRG) is teaming up with European esports giant OG Esports in a major strategic partnership aimed at strengthening their presence in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The deal, announced Monday, will see SRG’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) team rebrand as SRG.OG, reflecting the unified vision and commitment both organizations share. At the heart of the partnership is the guiding principle of “Strength in Unity” (Bersatu Kita Teguh)—a core value that aligns with both teams’ aspirations.

The move comes after SRG’s dominant run last year, where they made history as the first Malaysian team to win the MSC title and secured back-to-back MPL Malaysia championships. Now, under the SRG.OG banner, the squad is set to compete with an even stronger global backing.

Beyond the rebranding, the partnership includes a deep exchange of expertise and resources, covering technical support, media, merchandise, and marketing. Both organizations aim to expand their influence in the global esports space, leveraging OG’s dominance in Dota 2 and SRG’s rising status in MLBB to engage a wider fanbase.

Huge step for both organizations

“This partnership is a huge milestone for SRG,” said Simon Lim, SRG’s Team Director. “With OG’s global experience and our regional success, we’re confident this collaboration will elevate our MLBB squad and open up more opportunities on the international stage.”

OG Esports CEO Dan Sanders sees the partnership as a major step for OG’s expansion into Southeast Asia. “Working with Selangor Red Giants allows us to connect more with the growing esports scene in APAC,” Sanders said. “Co-branding their MLBB team is just the start—we’re excited to introduce new initiatives that will bring both our communities together.”

  • Kramm – EXP Lane (Philippines)
  • Gojes – EXP Lane (Malaysia)
  • Sekys – Jungler (Malaysia)
  • Stormie – Mid Lane (Malaysia)
  • Innocent – Gold Lane (Philippines)

With two powerhouse organizations joining forces, the partnership signals a major shift in the esports landscape—one that could reshape the competitive scene in both MLBB and Dota 2. Fans can expect big things ahead as SRG.OG looks to make an impact in 2025.

OG is the second European-based org to land in Malaysia’s top-tier MLBB league following Team Secret’s expedition from 2023 to 2024.
