Samsung and MOONTON Games Launch First-Ever MLBB Campus Series in Southeast Asia

Samsung Electronics has partnered with MOONTON Games to introduce the Galaxy Gaming Academy Campus Series, marking the first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Campus Series (MCS) in Southeast Asia. This groundbreaking tournament will provide student gamers across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines with a competitive platform to showcase their skills and advance in the esports scene.

With MLBB’s massive popularity in the region, this collaboration aims to nurture young talent by giving them an opportunity to compete on a larger stage. The tournament will also highlight the power of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is designed to enhance mobile gaming performance.

Bringing Student Esports to the Next Level

The Galaxy Gaming Academy Campus Series is more than just a tournament—it’s a stepping stone for student gamers aged 18 and above to pursue esports at a professional level. The competition will start with national qualifiers, leading to an intense regional playoff and culminating in the grand finals in Indonesia.

Samsung aims to bridge the gap between student and professional esports by providing a clear path to competitive gaming, ensuring that young players have the resources and opportunities to pursue their esports dreams.

Galaxy S25 Ultra: Powering the Future of Mobile Esports

At the heart of this initiative is the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung’s latest gaming powerhouse, offering players:

  • 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display for ultra-smooth graphics

  • Vulkan Engine for more realistic gaming performance

  • Enhanced cooling system, featuring a larger vapor chamber and tailored thermal interface material (TIM) for sustained peak performance

Carl Nordenberg, VP, Regional Head of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania, emphasized the company’s commitment to developing young gaming talent:

“We believe in providing the next generation of gamers with the best technology and opportunities to help them reach their full potential. Through Samsung’s Galaxy Gaming Academy Campus Series, we are not only equipping students with mobile devices that provide the best gaming experience, we are also creating a forum for them to develop their skills, gain experience, and expand their community. For some, Galaxy Gaming Academy may even help them build toward a professional esports career. With MLBB’s popularity and wide appeal in this region, our partnership with MOONTON will enable us to reach more young, talented gamers across Southeast Asia.”
