PKL Fall 2025: WETRND, Barcode, Boom Rise via Reverse Sweeps

MAKATI — Philippines Kings League (PKL) Fall Split 2025 delivered a day of resilience and drama as WETRND Esports, Barcode Esports, and Boom Esports clawed back from early losses to complete reverse sweeps at Shooting Gallery Studios on Saturday, September 6.

WETRND Outlasts TNT in Nail-Biting Series

TNT Tropang Alab opened strong in Game 1, leaning on Khan’s stellar Augran performance (6/1/3 KDA) to seize momentum. At the 14-minute mark, TNT secured the Overlord and capitalized on a decisive jungle clash, where Khan’s double kill dismantled WETRND’s frontline.

TNT wasted no time finishing the job in 15 minutes, with Impressive’s Sun Bin tallying 2/0/6 KDA while Kirvsu’s Fang provided six assists with an unscathed record.

But WETRND bounced back in Game 2 after a perfectly executed clash at the 10-minute mark. Arise’s Augran spearheaded the squad, wiping out three TNT members to force a decider.

Maze’s Yuhuan orchestrated the team fights with eight assists and near-perfect participation as the game ended with a 9–5 kill score.

The momentum carried into Game 3 as WETRND dominated early with an 11–3 kill lead and a nearly 7K gold advantage just eight minutes in. At 8:27, they caught TNT off guard in the top lane, killing four-of-five members to stretch their lead.

By the 14:30 mark, TNT’s defenses crumbled as WETRND stormed the crystal base to seal the reverse sweep. Arise, now on Lam, steered the offense with a 4/0/8 MVP performance.

Barcode Esports Survives Longest Game to Stun Elevate

Elevate struck first in Game 1 as Ivalice’s Yixing ultimate snared four Barcode players, turning the tide in a midlane clash at the 15-minute mark. From there, Elevate did not look back and closed out the game.

Ivalice earned MVP honors with a 2/0/7 KDA, while Haru’s Pei also impressed with a 4/1/2 KDA.

Barcode responded in Game 2 through VVV’s aggressive Aoyin, who tallied an 8/1/4 KDA. Despite Elevate grabbing the Overlord late, Barcode’s coordinated wipeout at the pit swung the series back.

Sl1mee’s Mozi and Chris2’s Dharma also paved the way, posting 1/1/10 and 3/1/7 KDAs, respectively.

The deciding Game 3 became an instant classic, lasting 27 minutes and 21 seconds — the longest of the split so far. The turning point came at 26:20 when Haru’s Dun misstep in the middle lane opened the door for Barcode.

With Elevate’s jungler down, Barcode secured the Tempest Dragon before marching to the crystal base. Sl1mee’s playmaking on Yuhuan (0/1/12) and Arli’s offensive firepower (7/2/4) anchored the reverse sweep.

Boom Esports Crushes ACT Esports Club After Early Scare

ACT Esports Club pulled off an upset in Game 1 after rallying from a massive deficit. Despite trailing by 5K gold, Astral’s Yuhuan turned the game with a double kill at the 20-minute mark, securing the Tempest Dragon and propelling ACT to a comeback win.

Boom, however, answered decisively in Game 2. Miggie’s Dharma was the linchpin, pinning down key ACT targets to enable a clean squad wipe at the 12-minute mark.

Karlll’s Augran (6/0/4) and Tatsurii’s Xiao Qiao (4/1/8) lit up the scoreboard to force a decider. Miggie’s Dharma, on the other hand, claimed MVP honors with a 4/1/9 KDA.

The decider showcased Boom’s control as they surged to a 7K gold lead by the 13-minute mark. ACT struggled to recover as Boom dictated the pace across lanes and objectives.

Tatsurii’s Zhou Yu spearheaded the midgame pushes, while Karlll’s Agudo and Dr4w’s Dyadia anchored the team with steady objective work and crowd control. Boom sealed the reverse sweep at the 17-minute mark, crushing ACT’s hopes of an upset.
