Blacklist International locks playoff berth as PKL contenders tighten grip after Week 4
PASIG — Four weeks into the Philippine Kings League (PKL) Spring 2025 season, Blacklist International has officially become the first team to clinch a postseason spot, continuing their spotless run with a dominant 9-0 record.
The Codebreakers extended their win streak with clean victories against TNT Tropang Alab and Team Eureka, mathematically ensuring at least a play-in berth with five matches still remaining.
Speaking of Elevate, the team added three more points to their campaign this week, taking down TNT in a 2-1 series before sweeping Team Flash PH on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The wins saw them climb to nine points, reinforcing their position in the top four.
Meanwhile, RWE Kadiliman had a mixed week—starting strong with a sweep over ACT Esports Club on Friday but dropping a surprising 1-2 loss against Team Flash PH on Sunday. They now hold a 6-3 match record with a +6 point differential, keeping them firmly in third.
Rounding out the current top four, BOOM Esports secured a narrow 2-1 win against Eureka on Friday but stumbled on Sunday, losing to ACT in a series where Flukeyo and Ormson stepped up with MVP-level performances. The results leave BOOM needing more consistency as they head into Week 5.
ACT, meanwhile, revived their playoff hopes with back-to-back wins to jump to fifth place, while Eureka slipped to sixth after consecutive losses. Team Flash PH remains seventh despite a bounce-back win, while TNT Tropang Alab remains at the bottom, now officially eliminated from upper bracket contention.
RWE Kadiliman will face Eureka, Blacklist International, and BOOM Esports in Week 5. Meanwhile, TNT Tropang Alab will try to salvage their season with must-win games against ACT, Flash PH, and Eureka.
With only three weeks left before the PKL playoffs, the battle lines are clearly drawn—but the fight for seeding is just heating up.
