PH assured of M6 World Championship finals seat as Fnatic ONIC PH beats Liquid Indo
PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia – MPL Philippines champions Fnatic ONIC Philippines will have three days to rest and recoup as they book themselves a spot in the M6 World Championship Grand Finals last Wednesday.
The Filipino representatives, who were still unblemished in their M6 run, beat MPL Indonesia champions Team Liquid Indonesia in four games as King Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez and Frince Miguel “Super Frince” Ramirez led the way for the Sonics.
It was their third meeting in international competitions for both teams this year, as they met once in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC Open Finals and the M6 Swiss stage, where FNOP prevailed on both occasions.
First game dominance
Fnatic ONIC PH went guns ablazing in the first game, not letting Team Liquid ID to get a single kill in less than 11 minutes of game time.

FNOP led by as many as 15 thousand in gold, not letting their Indonesian counterparts sniff any turtle or lord, and Favian Bayu “Faviannn” Putra claiming only one purple buff the entire game.
Taking the game back even
The Indonesian Cavalry showed they weren’t fazed by the Game 1 mauling from FNOP as they even the score 1-1 thanks to a Sultan “AeronShikii” Muhammad’s elite Claude showing.
TLID’s goldl laner put up an impressive four-kill, seven-assist performance as they didn’t let Fnatic ONIC’s late-game potential click after 18 minutes, with Christian”Widy” Wardhana Hartono’s Chip assisting 12 of 13 total kills.
Fnatic ONIC PH, fielding a tankier lineup featuring a jungle Fredrinn, went back to the drawing board as their lack of damage hampered their Game 2 form.
Super Family’s Super Form
It became a different tale in Games 3 and 4 as Fnatic ONIC Philippines played to Team Liquid ID’s tempo while managing the macro game in short time.
Super Frince’s Yve became a thorn in the Indonesian side as he put up four kills and assisted 11 more in a 16-7 beatdown in barely 12 minutes of play.
Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ Bruno was also unstoppable from the get-go, dishing six kills and assisting two more to neutralize AeronShikii’s influence with the Moskov.
Game 4 was more of the same as K1NGKONG’s Suyou went mad with a 7/2/7 performance as Borris “Brusko” Parro and Jann Kirk “Kirk” Gutierrez’s spacing were proven effective as they kept Aran and Widy on bay in almost 14 minutes of Game 4.
Spirit, SRG complete’s Axiata four
Aside from FNOP and TLID, Eastern Europe’s Team Spirit and Malaysia’s last hope Selangor Red Giants will also see themselves travelling up north to Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur to start the Saturday festivities.
Team Spirit relied on their veterans as Alexander “Oneshot” Sharkov and Kemiran “SunsetLover” Kochkarov led the way against fellow dark horses Falcon Esports from Myanmar in four games.
On the other side, the Malaysian champions also needed four games as they send traditional powerhouse RRQ Hoshi packing as only Arthur “Sutsujin” Sunarkho shone for the Kingdom.
With the loss, the Kings of Kings will fly back home empty-handed in all top-tier competitions, while the Red Giants still had a shot for the elusive Golden Road.
