ONIC Philippines enters Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC CF grand finals; Falcons PH ends in 4th

JOHOR BAHRU – Reigning MPL Philippines and world champions ONIC Philippines make quick work of both Team Falcons PH and Team Liquid ID to grab a Grand Finals spot at the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC Challenge Finals on Saturday.

The Super Family endured a gallant fight against their fellow Filipino side and exact revenge on their Indonesian rivals without conceding a single game.

Super Fam breezed past Falcons’ claws.

King Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez went on a tear in Game 1 against FLCN with five kills and two assists using Suyou in a 10-3 thumping.

Michael Angelo “KyleTzy” Sayson, who utilized Joy, wasn’t able to secure any major objective in nine minutes of game time, while Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano’s Bruno fell the most with three.

It was a much closer affair in Game 2 as both teams went neck-t0-neck in 20 minutes, both not letting each other slip with a win, but Falcons PH pulled away with a 12-6 advantage heading into the fourth lord objective.

However, K1NGKONG’s Suyou retrieved the lord on time in a full team fight to shave Falcons PH’s lead off and gain full advantage in the next three minutes.

ONIC PH forced a team fight entering the 20th minute to take KyleTzy’s Barats and David Charles “FlapTzy” Canon’s Baxia out of the equation, forcing the rest of the Green Falcons to retreat.

Frince Miguel “Super Frince” Ramirez’ Pharsa earned MVP honors with two kills and six assists as he utilized the mage’s zone capability to full control.

End of the road for the Falcons

The Falcons then suffered a 1-2 reverse sweep against ONIC Indonesia, with the loss putting them in fourth place overall.

Super Marco led the team to a good start in Game 1 as his Moskov delivered five kills and five assists to claim the win after 22 minutes.

Gilang “SANZ” was ONIC ID’s bright spot with his Yve pulling off 13 assists in a losing effort.

It was a different story in Game 2 with Clayton Adrielo “Savero” Kuswanto’s Irithel delivering big-time with four kills and two assists.

Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel’s signature Selena pick was neutralized as he finished with 1/2/3 KDA while KyleTzy’s Joy wasn;t able to secure a single lord in the 18-minute affair.

SANZ’s Yve led the team again to close the series in their favor as a full team fight in the 21st minute costed the lives of three Falcon members.

Kairi “Kairi” Ray0sdelsol proceeded to take the lord freely as ONIC ID marched straight to the Filipino team’s base and force them do defend to no avail.

The Green Falcons will take home USD 10,000 in cash prize and will still be in the Snapdragon Mobile Masters in April alongside all playoff teams.

Second time’s the charm

ONIC PH went back to savage mode as they send rivals Team Liquid ID to the lower bracket finals, avenging their 0-2 loss in the Group stage.

The Indonesian Cavalry were thrashed 16-1 at the hands of the Super Fam, with Favian “Faviannn” Putra’s Suyou conceding five deaths with no kills or assists.

Super Frince’s Yve had another monster game with four kills and nine assists while Borris James “Brusko” Parro’s Gatotkaca delivered with a kill and game-high 12 assists.

ONIC Philippines continued their onslaught in Game 2 with an 11-2 mauling in 10 minutes.

It was again the midlane duo of Super Frince and Brusko delivering for the Filipino squad, each earning 8.0 average KDAs.

The Monster Mage put up another master class in Game 3, getting four kills and 11 assists with his signature Luo Yi pick.

Sultan “AeronnShikii” Muhammad’s Granger had a big game with nine takedowns and four assists. However, Aldhia Fahmi “Aran” Aranda and Christian Widy Wardhana “Widy” Hartono’s combined 11 deaths gave the Cavalry problems to close out the series.

ONIC PH will await for the winner of the TLID-ONIC Indo match on Sunday in a best-of-seven affair.
