NAVI, Team Liquid open MWI 2025 with dominant wins

RIYADH – Filipino squads make a strong statement on Day 1 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational 2025 as both Natus Vincere PH and Team Liquid PH notch convincing victories to open their group stage campaigns.

Team Liquid sweep China’s Tidal Legends Gaming in the tournament’s first series, while NAVI PH follow through with a clean 2-0 against Cambodia’s CFU Gaming.

Liquid too much for Tidal Legends

TLPH waste no time in Game 1, securing a 20-6 victory in just 13 minutes. Clarisse “CLA” Owari leads the charge with an explosive 15/2/0 Granger performance, supported by Trina “Ramicii” Ramos’ utility jungle Alice who tallied 13 assists.

Game 2 proves tighter, with Tidal Legends putting up a mid-game surge off the back of “Yinhuai’s” Irithel. But Ramicii’s surprise Suyou pick turns the tide, ending with a 10/2/5 KDA, while Allyson “Daiki” Ventanilla’s Phoveus disrupts team fights with 12 assists.

Team Liquid next face Natus Vincere MY in a crucial match on Wednesday that could seal their spot in the playoffs.

Natus Vincere PH scores win vs. CFU

NAVI PH’s opener against CFU Gaming starts with a closer Game 1, but Rica “Amoree” Amores’ calm and control on the Zetian delivers a flawless 2/0/10 outing to secure the win.

The former Smart Omega core turns up the heat in Game 2, outplaying the Cambodians in team fights. Amoree continues her impact with five kills and six assists using the Zhuxin, while Sheen “Shinoa” Perez’s Irithel adds six kills and seven assists.

CFU’s Rin “Tegami” Chanthana, despite picking her signature Lancelot, struggles to find footing and finishes with four deaths.

NAVI PH will return to the stage Wednesday to face Myanmar’s Terror Queens, with another win locking in their playoff berth.
