Manila, Philippines – The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines is set to return for its 14th season on August 16, 2024, with a host of exciting changes and innovations. The league promises to deliver even more intense competition, captivating storylines, and engaging fan experiences.

A New Era of Competition

MPL Philippines Season 14 introduces a new team, Aurora, adding a fresh dynamic to the league. The team boasts a formidable roster of star players, including Yue, Edward, Demonkite, Domeng, and Benthings. Additionally, the return of Filipino imports MP The King and Dlar further intensifies the competition.

To shake things up, the league has implemented a new scoring system where teams earn points based on match results. This system encourages a higher level of competitiveness throughout the regular season.

The playoffs format has also undergone changes, with the Lower Bracket Finals now being a best-of-seven series. This adjustment ensures that the teams battling for the final spot in the Grand Finals will engage in an even more thrilling and decisive match.

Global Open Transfer System

MPL Philippines has introduced a groundbreaking global open transfer system, allowing teams to acquire players from other MPL leagues and free agents. This move aims to elevate the level of competition and provide teams with greater flexibility in building their rosters.

Enhanced Alamat Awards

The prestigious Alamat Awards, which recognize the outstanding players and staff of the MPL Philippines, have been revamped for Season 14. The awards now include categories for the entire coaching staff, highlighting their crucial role in team success. New awards such as ALL-STAR Team 1 & 2, Fans’ Choice, and Most Improved Player have also been added to celebrate the diverse talents within the league.

MPL Philippines is committed to bringing fans closer to the action. The league is reviving the MPL Smart Battle Trips, inviting fans to experience the excitement of live matches at the MPL PH arena. In partnership with MLBB Community Heroes and Student Leaders (CHSL), around 40 students and community members from Luzon will be given the opportunity to watch the tournament and participate in workshops about the esports industry.

To further engage fans, MPL PH is launching the Infinix FANSiklaban, a mini-MPL league where fans can represent their favorite teams and compete for prizes.
