MLBB introduces Rising Open, aims competitive gaming similar to pro scene
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) looks to raise the stakes with the launch of the MLBB Rising Open (MRO) with initial tournaments starting last Friday, December 20, days after the conclusion of the M6 World Championships.
This revamped version of the MLBB Competitive League (MCL) aims to uncover the next wave of esports superstars, giving players worldwide a chance to experience the professional scene from their own screens.
With the tagline “The One From Everyone,” MRO is set to become an in-game esports tournament platform that scours every MLBB region for the finest players. Not only will gamers feel the adrenaline of competitive play but they’ll also snag in-game rewards and prestigious recognition along the way.
From Your Neighborhood to the Spotlight
The MRO is open to all players, no matter their rank. Starting at the Neighborhood Bracket, players will battle their way through levels like the City Bracket, Provincial Bracket, and Regional Qualifiers, all the way to the Division Championship. To ensure fair competition, Mythic-ranked players will begin at higher-tier brackets.
Unlike the previous MCL, players’ progress doesn’t reset weekly as they can keep their unfinished bracket advancement, making it easier to climb the ranks.
Teams are flexible, too, with participants can switch squads without losing their standing. Squads and players can assemble their dream teams, dominate the competition, and earn the title of City Champion or even Division Champion.
Rewards Worth Fighting For
MRO isn’t just about glory. Players can earn coveted titles like “Esports Player”, “Neighborhood Champion”, and “City Champion”, alongside massive in-game diamond rewards for Division Champions. Competitors can accumulate MRO Coins to unlock permanent skins, exclusive battle effects, and gift packs just by playing.
Mark Your Calendars
Reservations for MRO are opened every weekends, with initial tournaments starting last Friday. Players can participate by simply logging into their MLBB accounts on weekends to join the action.
