M6 World Championship Kicks Off with Wild Card Stage, Embraces Innovative Swiss Format
The prestigious Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports tournament, the M6 World Championship, has officially revealed its tournament format and key dates. Held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the M6 promises an “#GreaterThanEver” experience with an increased prize pool, a fresh tournament format, and the thrilling stories of participating teams as they battle for MLBB glory.
The Road to M6 Glory
The M6 World Championship kicks off with the Wild Card Stage, running from November 21st to 24th, 2024. This stage aims to empower rising regions and showcase their talents on the global stage. Eight teams will be divided into two groups, competing in a single round-robin format with best-of-three (BO3) matches.
The top team from each group advances to the second phase of the Wild Card Stage, while the remaining six teams are eliminated. The two winners from each group then face off in a BO5 match, with the victor securing a coveted spot in the M6 World Championship’s Main Stage.

- November 21st-23rd: 14:00 (GMT+8)
- Second Phase: November 24th, 17:00 (GMT+8)
A Tournament Format First: The Swiss Stage
For the first time in M Series history, the Main Stage will adopt the Swiss Format. This innovative format requires group draws after each round, leading to a more dynamic and competitive tournament. Starting on November 28th, 2024, the Swiss Stage will see 16 teams battle it out across five stages.

Knockout Stage and the Grand Finals
The Knockout Stage will utilize a double-elimination format. The first round, scheduled for December 7th, will see BO3 match series. The second round, taking place from December 8th to 14th, will feature BO5 matches. The highly anticipated Grand Finals will be held on December 15th, with a BO7 match format, starting at 17:00 (GMT+8).
