Manila, Philippines – May 31, 2024 –Aspiring esports journalists, get ready! MOONTON Cares, the social responsibility arm of MOONTON Games, and the esteemed MPL Philippines Press Corps are teaming up once again to bring their highly-successful Esports and Gaming Journalism Workshop to National University Laguna (NU Laguna). This exciting two-day program, happening from June 6 to 7, aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the flourishing esports journalism industry.
Over 100 participants are expected to attend the workshop, where they will have the golden opportunity to learn from renowned esports and gaming journalists from the MPL Philippines Press Corps.

- Sportswriting Fundamentals: Led by Reynald Magallon (Manila Bulletin), a pioneer in MPL Philippines blow-by-blow coverage.
- Media Ethics: Michelle Lojo (Philstar.com) will delve into the importance of journalistic integrity.
- Mobile Journalism: AC Coloma (ABS CBN News) will equip students with the skills to leverage their mobile devices for powerful content creation.

- The Power of SEO: Jules Elona (ONE Esports) will shed light on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to enhance the visibility and reach of esports content.
- AI-powered Journalism: Dethan Dario will explore the role of Artificial Intelligence in content creation and distribution for journalists.
- Esports Journalism in the Age of TikTok: XC Enriquez (Esports by Inquirer.net, Clutchpoints Gaming, esports.gg) will provide insights into crafting engaging content for today’s dynamic media landscape.

This workshop marks the second consecutive year that MOONTON Games and the MPL Philippines Press Corps have joined forces to promote the development of esports journalism. This initiative builds upon the success of three similar workshops conducted during MPL PH Season 12, which engaged students from Ateneo de Manila University, University of the Philippines-Diliman, University of Sto. Tomas, Adamson University, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Lyceum of the Philippines University, Cavite State University, and National University-Laguna.
