KarlTzy Leads Team Liquid Past Ultra Legends at MSC 2025

RIYADH – Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno turns back the clock with a vintage performance as Team Liquid PH dismantles Ultra Legends, 2-0, for their first win in the MSC 2025 group stage on Wednesday.

The two-time world champion jungler took control of the series with his signature assassin picks, Lancelot and Hayabusa, combining for 12 kills and 19 assists. His early-game pressure and mechanical mastery dictated the tempo from the get-go.

Assassin Meta Revival

Team Liquid took just 13 minutes to close out Game 1, as KarlTzy’s Lancelot starred with seven kills. Teammate Kiel “OHEB” Soriano backed him up with a 6/1/6 performance on Granger.

Meanwhile, Ultra Legends struggled to keep up. Mostafa Alhassan “Dark Lord” Mahmoud’s Arlott fell six times as Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s presence on the map prevented any mid-game comeback.

Faster, Sharper, Stronger

The Philippine squad closed Game 2 even quicker—just 11 minutes. OHEB’s Harith proved elusive, finishing with 10 kills and 11 assists.

Midlaner Alston “Sanji” Pabico’s Zhuxin dished out five kills and a game-high 16 assists.

Ultra Legends continued to falter. Omar Sami “Quanok” Ali’s Pharsa had a rough outing, tallying just one kill and three assists while being picked off eight times.

Eyes on the Next Battle

Team Liquid’s next test will be against ONIC Esports in a high-stakes showdown. ONIC is coming off a narrow 2-1 escape against Cambodia’s CFU Gaming and will look to bounce back.

Elsewhere in Group A, defending MSC champions Selangor Red Giants OG Esports outlasted Virtus.pro in a three-game thriller. Meanwhile, Mythic SEAL mounted a reverse sweep to take down Corinthians Esports in another intense series.
