Honor of Kings is celebrating the Year of the Snake with a massive event packed with free heroes, exclusive skins, and special rewards.
From January 24 to February 12, players can dive into the festive update, unlock legendary skins, and participate in limited-time events to claim unique prizes. Whether you want to expand your hero roster, grab stunning new skins, or experience a fresh battlefield theme, HOK will deliver for each player.
New Year of the Snake skins available
The event introduces four Year of the Snake skins: Lam’s “Wish of Order”, Consort Yu’s “Wish of Abundance”, Daji’s “Wish of Harmony,” and Nuwa’s “Wish of Eternity”.
Players can purchase these limited-time skins at a discount starting January 27 at 16:00 server time. They can also test their luck with the “Year of the Snake Skin Lucky Card”, which offers bonus rewards.
Players can also take part in the Year of the Snake Market, where they can collect, trade, and redeem “Snake Cake” for Snake Coins. Completing daily and limited-time missions grants Snake Cake, which can be traded for better deals in different player markets. The market prices update daily, encouraging strategic trading. Players also earn 5% commission when others sell Snake Cake in their market. By redeeming Snake Coins, they can unlock an exclusive free Legendary Skin.
New battlefield mechanic
On the battlefield, the event introduces the Rune Blessing system, adding a new strategic element to matches.
Every two minutes, a random rune spawns in the river, granting buffs such as gold gain, mana restoration, health regeneration, speed boosts, or cooldown reduction. Runes remain on the battlefield until picked up, forcing teams to compete for these advantages.
Exchange Coins, Red Packets, and Buff bonuses
Players can also unlock free Year of the Snake heroes by collecting Exchange Coins through gameplay. Logging in, playing matches, and teaming up with friends rewards Exchange Coins, which players can use to claim Lam, Consort Yu, Daji, or Nuwa.
Everyone can unlock two heroes for free, with additional rewards like seven-day hero experience cards. Daily logins also provide 200 Dragon Crystals, while winning a ranked match each day grants 300 Dragon Crystals.
The event also includes the Lucky Red Packet system, which lets players unlock a random skin players don’t have. Signing in and playing matches earns Lucky Red Packets, and opening 10 packets guarantees a Random Skin Chest.
Players can also send and open packets in the World Chat Channel or during Hero Selection, making it a fun and interactive feature.
From January 28 to February 4, players can enjoy an Eight-Day Buff Bonus, which doubles rewards for Starstones, Experience, and Bravery Points after playing three matches per day. Meanwhile, the daily sign-in event offers additional rewards like Arcana Fragments, Lucky Red Packets, exclusive avatars, and a special Spring Festival title.
The Year of the Snake limited-time event ends on February 12.
