Harame Bro falls short in PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 run

Filipino esports team Harame Bro bows out of Survival Stage contention after falling short in their 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship campaign in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The team finished 14th out of 16 teams in Group Yellow with 86 points, 64 of which were kill points while 22 were from placements.

Harame Bro started strong in the first round, placing third in Sanhok behind CIS’ Major Pride and South Korea’s Miraen Sejong and getting 10 points

The team didn’t have much success for the rest of Day 1, bagging only 13 more points to end Round 6 at 12th spot with 23.

HBRO suffered an off-night on Day 2, adding only eight more points to the tally to 31, skidding to 15th in the group standings and 29 points below safety.

They grabbed a third-place finish in Round 14 with eight points behind Brazil’s Alpha7 and MSJ. Despite doubling their points total to 62 to end Day 3, they remained at 15th, but only 20 points now below qualification.

The PUBG Mobile Challengers League champions rallied in the final round but only secured 24 points on the final day, including a fourth-place finish in Round 20 at Erangel.

Jholo Sarmiento “FEDERALES” De Leon led the team with 32 kills, placing 19th in the group’s player rankings.

The team will bag USD 21,000 in prize money as joint 41st-43rd finishers in the standings.

Russia’s Team Spirit, Korean outfit DRX, and Alpha7 will proceed to the PMGC Grand Finals in London, United Kingdom, while the next eight teams in their group qualifying to the Survival Stage.
