Aurora Gaming showed why they shouldn’t be counted out as they swept Turkish delegates ULFHEDNAR to start the day inside the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Center.

The Filipinos scored Game 1 thanks to Jan Dominic “Domeng” del Mundo scoring five kills and six assists with the Bruno, while Renejay “Renejay” Barcase’s Chip created crucial plays from the mid to late game.

Domeng extended his reign of terror to ULFHEDNAR as he pulled off a 3/0/9 performance with the Moskov, as Sidar “Tienzy” Menteşe’s Hilda was neutralized from the start.

Duane  “Kelra” Pillas led FNOP to a 1-0 advantage thanks to a surprise Layla pick with five kills and four assists as he avoided much of the team fight until his power spike.

However, Kelra’s counterpart Ziameth-Jei “ZIA” Caluya had other ideas as he tormented FNOP with a 7/1/7 performance with Bruno to extend the series to a decider Game 3.

The Gold Standard’s Irithel pick made wonders as he grabbed 11 kills and assisted five more as they neutralized Vo “Shark” Thanh Trung and Ian “FwydChckn” Hohl, who fell a combined eight times.

It will be an interesting sight for TLID if they can topple down a Filipino MPL side this time around after falling against FNOP in Day 1, with the matchup between Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo and Yehezkiel “Yehezkiel” Wiseman a must-watch.

Team Vamos and S2G Esports will square off in another match, as S2G will try to make it 2-0 against a Malaysian side, while Selangor Red Giants will face China’s best KeepBest Gaming.
