MAKATI, Philippines – From their debut in Season 4, ONIC Philippines have tasted heartbreak, seeing teams lift the three MPL trophies and even an M-Series title.

But on a fateful Sunday in Magallanes, they are the strongest team in MLBB’s strongest region.

Fnatic ONIC Philippines finally got their hands on the elusive MPL crown as they escaped a pesky Aurora Gaming in seven games.

The Hedgehogs averted a potential 3-1 comeback from Aurora Gaming off from a crucial pickoff from Finals MVP Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ iconic Beatrix and Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez’s comfort Vexana.

King Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez’s Suyou led the charge for Fnatic ONIC PH with seven kills and four assists despite Aurora leading for the first ten minutes.

A crucial K1NGKONG shutdown against Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo’s Yve started the turnover for FNOP, with Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto and Edward Jay “Edward” Dapadap falling afterward.

Super Frince win streak with the Yve continued as he took off with six kills and five assists in a 13-6 close encounter to take a more comfortable 2-0 lead.

With the rest of Fnatic ONIC keeping Aurora busy with the team fight in the 21st minute, K1NGKONG sneaked to the exposed Aurora base and called game.

Renejay “Renejay” Barcase stepped up in the third game with a 1/2/10 with the Gatotkaca, including several crucial Avatar of the Guardian sets, to give Blacklist more fighting chances 2-1.

Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ signature Harith went ballistic with six kills and five assists as they dismantled Aurora in Game 4, 17 kills to five, as Demonkite didn’t secure any major objective and Renejay’s Hylos became FNOP’s punching bag.

However, Aurora’s late-game insurance paid in a lump sum as Yue’s Cecilion put up three kills and four assists to force a sixth game.

Demonkite’s Suyou and Jan Dominic “Domeng” del Mundo had huge moments as well, taking down three FNOP hard-hitters despire K1NGKONG securing the lord.

Kelra and Borris “Brusko” Parro wa forced to defend to no avail as Yue’s Cecilion blasted the former with the Bat Impact before locking the base.

Demonkite’s Alpha put up five kills and seven assists as Aurora Gaming forced a rubber match with a 13-11 outplay of FNOP, while Domeng’s lone kill over Kelra’s Moskov sealing the sixth game.

Both teams will have a month-long preparation for their upcoming tournaments including the M6 World Championships in Malaysia.
