Dogie reunites Aether prodigies as they shift to Honor of Kings
MANILA — From pioneers of Mobile Legends to trailblazers of a new chapter, Naser “Dogie” Mollazehi and several of his former Aether Esports standouts have officially made the jump to Honor of Kings.
The long-rumored move was confirmed Thursday, reuniting a legendary core of homegrown talents in a fresh battlefield.
Joining Dogie in this new venture are three of his most prominent discoveries in MLBB: Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse, Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, and John Paul “H2WO” Salonga, along with former Minana EVOS gold laner Oscar “Sumpak” Romero, who returns after a year-long hiatus from professional play.
Dogie, one of the cornerstone figures of the Philippine MLBB scene, rose to prominence in 2017 and 2018 as the leader of Aether Main, the inaugural MPL PH champions. Following his stint as a pro, he shifted focus to content and talent development, helping shape the careers of a new breed of stars.
Among them were H2WO, Yawi, Renejay, and Sumpak — then-young aspirants who later carved their own legacies in MPL Philippines.
While the quartet eventually parted ways and played under different banner, their reunion under Dogie’s leadership in a new title marks a full-circle moment for the Aether family.
The move comes amid an ongoing trend of notable players and personalities crossing over to Honor of Kings, which is rapidly expanding its competitive footprint in Southeast Asia.
The Aether reunion follows recent transitions by veteran names like Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo, Jem “Jem” Lanojan, and Carlito “Ribo” Ribo Jr., as well as broadcast personalities Mara Aquino and Manjean Faldas — further solidifying the game’s growing presence in the Philippine esports scene.
Will lightning strike twice for one of PH esports’ most iconic mentors? Only time — and the Hero’s Gorge— will tell.
