Crossfire: Legends returns to SEA, Beta Test kicks off July 23
MANILA– One of China’s top mobile FPS titles is finally making its comeback to Southeast Asia.
Crossfire: Legends, the globally adapted version of Crossfire Mobile, is gearing up for its closed beta test in SEA from July 23 to August 22, covering the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, as confirmed by Level Infinite and TiMi Studio Group under Tencent Games.
The announcement marks the return of the legendary franchise that once defined early mobile FPS competition in the region — but this time with modern polish, enhanced controls, and full mobile-first optimization.
Fast, furious, and mobile-ready
Built using Unity Engine and tailored for performance across a range of devices, Crossfire: Legends promises zero-compromise mobile FPS action. No looting. No waiting. Just tight maps, quick respawns, and gunplay-driven mayhem — a design choice aimed at both casual players and mobile esports enthusiasts.
“Crossfire: Legends is built for a new generation of competitive gamers — fast, heart-pounding, and optimized for mobile from day one,” said Darren Gu, producer at TiMi Studio Group. “We recognize Crossfire’s legacy in SEA and aim to bring it back in the best form possible.”
Core modes return with esports potential
The beta launch will feature two of the franchise’s most iconic modes:
-
Search & Destroy – A bomb-planting, defuse-or-die tactical game mode where every second and every shot counts.
-
Team Deathmatch – No objectives, no gimmicks. Just reflexes, map knowledge, and raw aim.
Additional creative game modes are already in the pipeline to offer fresh twists and cater to a wider audience.
Built for SEA, from language to loadouts
Unlike previous iterations, Crossfire: Legends comes deeply localized — featuring full support in Filipino, Thai, Indonesian, and more, plus regionally inspired character skins and operator designs.
The game will also allow deep customization: from gyroscope controls and aim sensitivity to crosshair styles and control layouts, letting players tailor their play to every match and every device.
A comeback with crosshairs set on esports
What sets Crossfire: Legends apart from other mobile shooters is its focus on refined gunplay. From recoil control to movement precision, every weapon — be it an SMG, AR, shotgun, or sniper rifle — is designed to feel satisfying, familiar, and fair.
This mechanical depth, paired with fast-paced modes, makes the title ripe for mobile esports revival, echoing its success in China where Crossfire Mobile remains a revenue giant.
