Burn X Flash and Blacklist International Advance to Semis of MSC 2023

On the first day of the MSC 2023 knockout stage, home team Burn X Flash and defending champions Blacklist International both advanced to the semifinals.

Burn X Flash, representing Cambodia, swept Singapore’s RSG Slate SG, 3-0, to secure at least fourth place in the tournament. This is the first time a Cambodian team has reached this far in a global MLBB esports tournament.

“I feel happy because it’s my first time making it this far with the team. I feel proud of this achievement,” said gold laner Mariusz “DONUT” Tan, who played a crucial role in propelling the team to victory.

Blacklist International, meanwhile, also swept their opponent, Fireflux Impunity, a team from Türkiye. The win sends Blacklist International to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of the match between ONIC Esports and EVOS Legends.

The other semifinal match will be between ECHO and TODAK.

Fans can watch the semifinals live on the official Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Esports YouTube channel.

The MSC 2023 is the biggest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament in Southeast Asia. The tournament features the top teams from the region, and the winner will take home a share of the $300,000 prize pool.

Here are some of the highlights from the first day of the knockout stage:

  • Burn X Flash’s 3-0 sweep of RSG Slate SG was a dominant performance from the Cambodian team. They showed that they are a force to be reckoned with in the global MLBB scene.
  • Blacklist International’s 3-0 sweep of Fireflux Impunity was also a convincing victory. The defending champions are looking to defend their title and they are showing no signs of slowing down.
  • The semifinals will be a clash of the titans. ONIC Esports and EVOS Legends are two of the most popular teams in Indonesia, and they are both looking to reach the grand final.
