Blacklist International takes down Elevate to close Honor of Kings Invitational S3 Day 2
QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Blacklist International delivered a dominant performance in their first series of the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3, taking down fellow home team Elevate, 3-1, to wrap up Day 2 at SM North EDSA’s The Block Atrium.
The Codebreakers repeated their success over Red Rebellion, securing another win in the rematch of the HOK Invitational S3 Philippine Qualifiers grand finals.
Dragon and Chazz steals the show
Blacklist wasted no time asserting dominance in Game 1, closing the match in under nine minutes. Dragon Hart “Dragon” Dajao’s Angela led the charge, recording three kills and seven assists while taking only seven percent of total team damage.
In Game 2, Charles Roman “Chazz” Esguerra’s Lian Po guided Blacklist to victory in an intense 18-minute showdown, finishing with a 2/1/14 KDA. Golden Hart “Goldenk1te” Dajao’s Loong also stepped up, tallying five kills and 10 assists to put Blacklist at match point.
Elevate strikes back, but Blacklist answers
Determined to stay in the fight, Elevate bounced back in Game 3 with a 12-minute dominant win, 14 kills to four.
Audrey Juliary “Ajizix” Cedro’s Dun secured MVP honors, contributing to every kill on the scoreboard with four kills and 10 assists.
Blacklist closed the series in a low-scoring Game 4. Chazz’s Liang played a crucial role, assisting five of seven total team kills without dying, sealing the 3-1 series win for the Codebreakers.
Impunity, Nongshim take wins
Meanwhile, other matches saw Impunity make a strong statement with a 3-0 sweep over Indonesia’s Kagendra, while Nongshim RedForce secured a playoff spot after defeating Bigetron Sigma, 3-1.
Elevate’s tournament fate now hinges on the outcome of Blacklist vs. Gen.G, set for tomorrow.
Malaysian side All Gamers Global will have their tournament debut against Brazil’s Alpha7, while AG’s compatriots Nova Esports will also play their first game against Kagendra.
