Blacklist eliminates Gen.G, secures HOK Invitational S3 playoff spot alongside Elevate

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Blacklist International delivered a dominant 3-0 sweep over Gen.G, punching their ticket to the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 playoffs at SM North EDSA’s The Block Atrium.

With the victory, Gen.G exits the tournament, while fellow Filipino squad Elevate secures the final knockout stage berth from their group.

Chammy1’s Mayene Leads Blacklist’s Early Onslaught

Chammy Paul “Chammy1” Nazarrea set the tone in Game 1, leading Blacklist to a 12-minute rout with a flawless 8/0/4 performance on Mayene.

Gen.G struggled without a long-range champion for Zhang “Roc” Peng, allowing the home team to dominate from start to finish.

Blacklist Exploits Gen.G’s Draft in Game 2

Gen.G attempted to correct their Game 1 mistake but ended up repeating it, drafting another low-range composition with Roc on Yao.

The adjustment backfired, as Blacklist steamrolled them 16-3 in just 13 minutes. Dragon Hart “Dragon” Dajao’s Gan & Mo starred in the victory with seven kills and six assists, putting Gen.G on the brink of elimination.

A Statement Finish for Blacklist

Game 3 saw Gen.G put up their best fight, but Blacklist ensured a decisive end, closing out the series with a 25-7 blowout.

Justine Ritchie “Juschie” Tan’s Luna earned the MVP honors, posting seven kills and 11 assists, while Golden Hart “Goldenk1te” Dajao’s Marco Polo contributed five kills and 15 assists in a dominant showing.

Group Stage Nears Its End

Elsewhere in the tournament, All Gamers Global (AG) eliminated Alpha7, 3-1, while Nova Esports secured a 3-1 victory over Kagendra, knocking out the Indonesian squad.

With these results, All Gamers Global, Nova Esports, Team Vitality, and Impunity Esports joins Blacklist, Elevate, and Korean side Nongshim Red Force.

Final Playoff Spot & Seeding Matches Set for Day 4

The last knockout stage ticket will be decided in a win-or-go-home showdown between Rough World Era and Bigetron Sigma tomorrow.

Meanwhile, seeding battles will kick off Day 4 of the Group Stage, with All Gamers facing Team Vitality, and Impunity taking on Nova Esports.
