AP.Bren releases entire MPL PH roster after one-season run
QUEZON CITY — The swarm has left the hive.
AP.Bren has officially parted ways with its entire MPL Philippines Season 15 roster. This marks a significant chapter-ending move just weeks after the league’s regular season concluded.
The announcement, made via social media, stunned fans and peers alike, considering the team’s notable growth from an MDL standout to competing in the country’s premier MLBB stage.
“It wasn’t just a season, it was a chapter that will forever be in AP.Bren’s history,” the organization shared. “You were solid proof that dreamers can achieve what their heart desires and that even weakness can be turned into strength.”
From dreamers to fighters

The now-disbanded roster had its roots in Lazy Esports, the MDL Philippines Season 4 champions. AP.Bren then decided to sign the young guns weeks ahead of the MPL PH Season 15 kickoff.
While expectations were modest for the young guns, they faced a rough start. AP.Bren opened their campaign with five straight losses and eventually finishing with a 3-11 record. Despite early struggles, the team salvaged pride late in the season by winning their final two series — including a dramatic 2-1 upset over playoff-bound Team Falcons PH.
Outside MPL, the team also secured the Realme Cup Season 9 title, sweeping Uncle Drew Gamerpact in the grand finals.
“Your time with us may have been short, but you will always be a part of The Hive, a part of our story,” the statement continued. “Thank you for raising the banner with pride. For now, we part ways.”
A new flight path

With the roster now in free agency, all eyes are on AP.Bren’s next steps. Rumors suggest the organization is actively scouting new players for Season 16, with the free agent pool teeming with talent from MPL, MDL, and other MLBB esports circuits.
Meanwhile, their released players are expected to generate strong interest in the offseason market. Names like James “JamesPangks” Mendoza and Jan Carl “shizou” Valdez have already been floated as top-tier pickups for teams seeking to revamp their rosters heading into the next season.
