Boom escapes another blow; TNT, Elevate deliver upset victories
MAKATI — The Philippines Kings League (PKL) Fall Split 2025 turned up the intensity in Week 5, Day 2 at Shooting Gallery Studios, with three series going the full distance in nail-biting fashion.
With statement victories, TNT Tropang Alab, Boom Esports, and Elevate shook up the playoff picture and kept the regular season buzzing.
TNT outlasts WETRND in three games
TNT drew first blood in the opener, thanks to Mark Vincent “Vane” Dasig’s Mayene who anchored the squad with a 5/3/6 showing. The momentum shifted at the 12:30 mark when his five-man crowd control set up a team wipe, and by 16:55, TNT capitalized on Aaron Mark “Aaron” Bingay’s pick-off to close the game.
WETRND answered back in Game 2, powered by Aaron’s Yuhuan. Despite TNT racing to a 5-0 kill lead within three minutes, Aaron steadied the ship with clutch bottom lane plays and a pivotal Tyrant pit fight at 10:15. He finished with six kills, six deaths, and 11 assists, spearheading WETRND’s push to even the series.
In the decider, TNT leaned on Vincent Khyle “Khan” Ruar’s Augran to deliver the knockout blow. He erupted for a quadra kill at the 11-minute mark and later stole the Tyrant at 14-minute, erasing WETRND’s momentum. With Sica’s Nuwa providing steady support (2/1/11), TNT sealed the comeback and handed WETRND a tough upset loss.
Boom handles Barcode to avoid another upset
Boom struck first behind John Phillex “Daniii” Bulanadi’s Aoyin, who put up a flawless 4/0/4 effort. A swing at the 9:25 mark gave Boom full control, and by 14:20, their 7K gold lead snowballed into a decisive base push to secure Game 1.
Barcode retaliated in Game 2 through Prasitthichai “Valdus” Jiadchat’s Musashi. He sparked an early double kill and later guided his team through a game-winning clash at 16:40, finishing with 5 kills and 4 assists to force a rubber match.
Boom refused to be rattled in the decider. Heri “Tatsurii” Garcia’s Shangguan shined with a 5/2/11 performance, leading the squad to a 5K gold edge by 10:30 after a complete squad wipe. A bold tower dive in the bottom lane wiped out four Barcode members, slamming the door on any comeback hopes.
Elevate continues their magic over Blacklist International
After toppling Boom on Day 1, Elevate carried their momentum into another upset—this time over Blacklist International.
Blacklist came out strong in the opener, jumping to a 4-0 start, but mid-game mistakes let Elevate back in. At 18:28, Elevate punished a misstep in the mid lane, dropping four Blacklist players and marching to the base for the win. Eleazar “Azar” Salle’s Di Renjie got the MVP honors with 7/2/8 KDA.
Blacklist fired back in Game 2 behind Charles Roman “Chazz” Esguerra’s Yuhuan, who tallied 12 assists in a flawless setup role. A dominant clash at the 16-minute mark cracked Elevate’s defenses and brought the series level.
The third game, however, belonged to Elevate. Azar’s Marco Polo quietly built momentum with a steady 3/1/4 line, while the turning point came at 13:30 with a devastating full squad wipe. With the crowd behind them, Elevate stormed through the base to seal back-to-back statement victories.
