The Aegis Awaits: TI25 Playoffs Kick Off Amidst Anti-Toxicity Campaign

HAMBURG — The playoffs of The International 2025 have begun, with the final eight teams battling in Upper Bracket Quarterfinals for a shot at the Aegis of Champions.

At the same time, Eva Elfie’s “Stop Motherf***ing” initiative is amplifying the call for respect in the Dota 2 community, reminding the world that competition doesn’t excuse abuse.

Upper Bracket Quarterfinals Matchups Heat Up

The Upper Bracket Quarterfinals feature four explosive playoffs matchups: Xtreme Gaming vs. Tundra Esports, PARIVISION vs. HEROIC, Team Tidebound vs. Team Falcons, and BetBoom Team vs. Nigma Galaxy.

Xtreme Gaming came in with a perfect 4-0 Group Stage, setting them as heavy favorites against Tundra, who scraped into the Main Event after a tougher road.

Meanwhile, several TI25 title contenders such as Team Liquid and Team Spirit will have to bid their Aegis dreams goodbye. TL lost to Tundra in the elimination round, which also witnessed Team Spirit knocked out by Team Falcons.

Anti-Toxicity Project Adds Timely Counterpoint

Just as rivalries sharpen and stakes soar on the TI25 stage, Eva Elfie’s project gives the community a framework to pause, reflect, and change behavior. “Stop Motherf***ing” isn’t just awareness—it includes a self-assessment tool allowing players to measure their own toxicity rather than being easy targets of identity or slur lashing.

The juxtaposition of elite competition and community responsibility gives this moment real resonance: whether it’s Xtreme Gaming aiming for dominance or Nigma Galaxy trying to break through, how players behave off the scoreboard matters too.
