MAKATI — Blacklist International, WETRND Esports, and Boom Esports made emphatic statements in the Philippines Kings League (PKL) Fall Split opener, sweeping their respective opponents at the Shooting Gallery on Friday, August 29.
PKL Spring Split finalists Blacklist and Boom asserted their dominance over Team Flash PH and Barcode, while WETRND dispatched ACT Esports Club to kick off their campaigns on the right foot.
Juschie, Dragon Power Blacklist’s Win
Blacklist opened their Fall Split run with a commanding 2-0 victory over Team Flash. Juschie (4/0/5) and Dragon (2/0/7) both finished without a single death, earning MVP honors in each game.
Game 1 was a 9-0 shutout led by Juschie’s Agudo, before Dragon’s Mai Shiranui took over in Game 2, giving away just one kill as Blacklist closed with a 10-1 win.
The Codebreakers will face Barcode next as they look to build momentum early in the season.
WETRND Set the Trend

WETRND lived up to their name, setting the trend with a convincing 2-0 sweep over ACT Esports Club.
In Game 1, Darrfinn’s Chano led the charge with a flawless 3/0/6 KDA, driving a 17-9 kill advantage. Maze’s Yuhuan then dictated Game 2 with a stellar 3/1/19 performance in a 25-12 finish.
With the win, the Trendsetters now aim for a 2-0 record as they take on Team Flash PH tomorrow.
Boom Esports Sound Off Like Champions
Defending PKL champions Boom Esports wasted no time showing why they remain the team to beat, sweeping newcomers Barcode, 2-0.
Tatsurii (7/0/3) and Karlll (4/0/4) were flawless in their debut, with Tatsurii’s Gan & Mo dominating Game 1 before Karlll’s Jing took control of Game 2.
The victory sets up a fiery PKL Spring Split finals rematch as Boom squares off against Blacklist International on Sunday, August 31.
