Team Liquid PH settles for fourth after loss to Terror Queens
RIYADH — So close, yet so far.
Team Liquid PH settles for fourth place at the MLBB Women’s Invitational 2025 after a 3-0 loss to Myanmar’s Terror Queens in the third-place match.
The Cavalry had early-game momentum in all three matches but failed to convert those advantages into wins.
Clarisse “CLA” Cordova led the charge with her signature Granger pick, totaling 12 kills across the series. However, Terror Queens steadily gained control in the late game, capped by a critical Lord steal in the 18th minute of Game 1.
After another decisive Lord fight, CLA and Trina “Ramicii” Ramos’ Joy were punished, allowing the Burmese side to mount a final push. Yadanar “Hlaingrina” Hlang finished with six kills and seven assists on Lapu-Lapu to seal the opener.
In Game 2, Team Liquid again found early success, but a Lord take by Ramicii came at the cost of three teammates. The Myanmar squad then snowballed their lead until the 19th-minute mark. A late clash exposed the Filipinas’ lack of late-game scaling against three marksmen on the opposing side, resulting in another loss.
Lynn “Lunalynn” Lett Naing’s Kimmy stood out with an 8/1/4 stat line, while Kyla “Sojuuu” Ramos contributed three kills and 19 assists on Mathilda.
Game 3 saw Team Liquid open with a 5-1 kill lead, but a crucial pick-off on CLA turned the tide. Lunalynn’s Kimmy once again proved to be the difference-maker with five kills and seven assists.
Zaira “Zaishii” Gilhang, meanwhile, struggled to make an impact with just one kill and four assists on Zhuxin.
Team Liquid PH exits with a US$30,000 prize for their fourth-place finish, while Terror Queens bag US$50,000 for third.
Meanwhile, Team Vitality reclaimed the title for Indonesia after sweeping North America’s Gaimin Gladiators 4-0 in the Grand Finals.
