Eight Teams to Clash in MSC 2025 Wildcard Stage

RIYADHThe stage is set as eight promising Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams from emerging regions battle it out for the final slot in the Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025.

Four second-place finishers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Latin America (LATAM), Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA), and China join four regional champions from Vietnam, Mekong, Japan, and Mongolia in the wildcard stage. Only one team will advance to the MSC 2025 main event.

Group A

Team Falcons (MENA)

Hometown favorites Team Falcons return to the MSC, but they’ll need to go through the wildcard route this time. After acquiring the Twisted Minds roster prior to MPL MENA Season 7, they finished second in the regular season following a four-way tie. Despite a solid playoff start, they fell 4-1 to Ultra Legends in the grand finals.

Now under the guidance of legendary coach Francis “Ducky” Glindro and fellow Filipino jungler Bien “Boyet” Chumacera, Falcons look to refine their controlled aggression and push for the main stage.

Rare Atom (China)

China’s Rare Atom brings Indonesian firepower with former RRQ Sena EXP laner Ramadhoni “Donn” and ex-Dewa United jungler Delvin “Lanaya” Gunawan, coached by Raymond “Raizan” Tandrian.

After a strong group stage showing in the MSC China qualifiers, they clawed their way through the lower bracket, including impressive wins over KeepBest Gaming and The Young Gaming, narrowly missing an upset over Dianfengyaoguai. Known for bruiser EXP laners like Benedetta and Dyrroth and artillery mages such as Pharsa, Rare Atom is a team to watch.

Legion Esports (Vietnam)

Undefeated in the Vietnam MLBB Championship, Legion Esports earned their MSC wildcard slot with a dominant campaign. Now, they bring in foreign reinforcements: former RRQ Kaito midlaner Justin “Shocker” Guanga and ex-Smart Omega NEOS roamer Mark Glenn “Kram God” Florencio.

With Nguyễn “Jowga” Văn Tô Đô leading the charge in the jungle, Legion hopes to convert regional dominance into international success. Their strategic depth has evolved thanks to their Filipino imports.

The MongolZ (Mongolia)

Mongolia’s finest return to the international scene with a slight lineup change: “Mumu” replaces Erkhembayar “Bankai” Batkhuu as EXP laner. The MongolZ secured their slot by beating IHC Esports in a thrilling five-game series.

Turbayar “Shenlynn” Bulgan stands out with roamers like Baxia and Guinevere. With Mongolia’s scene rapidly developing, The MongolZ aim to turn regional dominance into global recognition.

Group B

Japanese powerhouse ZETA DIVISION steps into MLBB for the first time, signing the Last Vega roster. Dominant in local events, ZETA crushed rivals REJECT to qualify.

They embrace unconventional strategies, including Alucard jungle picks, reminiscent of 10Seconds Gaming’s style. As Japan makes its return to the MLBB world stage, ZETA may surprise the competition.

Influence Rage (LATAM)

The LATAM runners-up return to MSC with seasoned veterans Angel “Furyy” Samuel and Darien “Chan” Quiroz. Their explosive run in MPL LATAM ended with a fiery clash against Corinthians.

Influence Rage thrives on traditional MLBB picks and aggressive early game setups. Expect Chou, Hilda, Ling, and even Hanzo to appear in their signature chaos-ball style.

Virtus.Pro (EECA)

Renowned esports brand Virtus.pro acquired the Teiko roster earlier this year and have since pushed through a gritty lower-bracket run to reach the wildcard stage. With Zaur “zauregoist” Magomadov sidelined due to age restrictions, Smart Omega’s Andrew “Andoryuuu” Flora steps in as a stand-in jungler.

Andoryuuu brings international experience from events like the Snapdragon Pro Series. His presence adds firepower and could make VP a serious threat.

Niightmare Esports (Mekong)

Perennial Mekong contenders Niightmare Esports return to redeem themselves after a quiet M6 run. With new additions Zeke Swayze “BAI LUCI” Himaya and Marcelino “I DID” Grijaldo Jr. from Metacore Esports, they hope to reignite the Mekong region’s legacy.

Known for their structured gameplay, Niightmare aims to rekindle the fire of Mekong’s MSC-winning past.

What’s at Stake?

Only one team from the eight will secure the last coveted spot in MSC 2025’s main event.

With powerhouse organizations, seasoned veterans, and promising talents all in the mix, the wildcard stage promises high-stakes drama and breakout performances.
