Mobile Legends: Bang Bang x NARUTO crossover drops on May 2 with biggest content update yet

SINGAPORE – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is set for its largest content release yet as MOONTON Games officially unveils its crossover with the iconic anime franchise NARUTO, launching on 2 May 2025.

The event marks the game’s most expansive collaboration to date, featuring five exclusive crossover skins, a limited-time themed map, and interface changes, alongside multiple in-game rewards and easter eggs for players to discover.

Team 7 enters the Land of Dawn

The highlight of the crossover will be the introduction of skins based on NARUTO’s Hidden Leaf Village’s original Team 7 and fan-favorite Gaara, assigned to five MLBB heroes:

  • Naruto Uzumaki as Lukas

  • Sasuke Uchiha as Suyou

  • Sakura Haruno as Kalea

  • Kakashi Hatake as Hayabusa

  • Gaara as Vale

Players can get the Vale “Gaara” skin for free by participating in the event. The remaining skins will be unlocked through a limited-time draw event.

Lyn Xi, the NARUTO collaboration lead at MOONTON Games, shared that the development process for the crossover took months of testing and adjustments to ensure that each skin stayed true to the characters’ identities and complemented the heroes’ skill sets and lore.

“Each skin had to feel authentic, not only in appearance, but also in how it fits within the MLBB gameplay experience,” Xi said.

New mechanics, visual updates, and Easter eggs

The crossover will also introduce two new item types: the Common Sacred Statue and the Loading Effect.

  • Any hero can use the Common Sacred Statue featuring Naruto’s Gamakichi, which is available via the draw event, unlike traditional Sacred Statues which are hero-specific.

  • Naruto and Sasuke will also receive their own Loading Effects, which replace the background in the pre-match character display.

A full NARUTO-themed interface will take over the MLBB client during the event period, transforming the login screen, menus, and HUD into visuals inspired by the anime series.

A limited-time event will feature a map with NARUTO-themed visuals and hidden references. Players can spot Ichiraku Ramen in the side lane, and Madara Uchiha replacing the Elemental Lord, along with other carefully hidden nods for fans to uncover.

MLBB Ninjutsu Academy offers real-world and in-game rewards

To encourage event participation, MOONTON will launch the MLBB Ninjutsu Academy, where players can complete missions to earn Ninjutsu Skill Scrolls. These scrolls can be used to guarantee a win in a draw, with rewards including:

  • iPhone 16 Pro

  • Exclusive hero skins

  • Additional cosmetic items

With NARUTO joining forces with one of the biggest mobile MOBAs in the world, the MLBB x NARUTO collaboration is shaping up to be the game’s most anticipated content drop of the year—one that will surely please anime fans and Land of Dawn regulars alike.
