Approaching History: Players on the Verge of Career Milestones

With MPL Philippines Season 15 heating up, history is once again in the making. Stars are rising, legends are cementing their legacies, and milestones are within reach for several active players who continue to define the league’s competitive landscape.

Over its eight-year history, MPL Philippines has witnessed the rise and fall of many stars. Some have faded into obscurity, while others continue to shine brighter than ever. Here, we highlight the active players who are set to make history and solidify their legacies.

Most Games Played: KarlTzy Approaching the 500 Club

Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to ever set foot in the Land of Dawn. Since debuting in Season 2, he has experienced countless meta shifts, triumphs, and challenges.

As of now, KarlTzy has played in 483 total games, ranking second all-time behind former teammate Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel, who leads with 525 games. KarlTzy is on pace to hit the 500-game milestone between Week 6 and Week 8.

Edward Jay “Edward” Dapadap (456 games) and Salic “Hadji” Imam (447 games) are also approaching the 500-game mark, though they are more likely to reach the milestone in Season 16.

Meanwhile, Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano has played 255 games and is climbing the all-time leaderboard. With him and Renejay (260) still active, both will likely surpass Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo (261) and Renz “Renzio” Cadua (266) before the season ends.

Most Games Won: KarlTzy Nearing 300 Wins

KarlTzy is on track to reach 300 career wins, currently trailing only Pheww in the all-time rankings. Pheww holds 309 wins, while KarlTzy sits at 286. Edward (260) and Hadji (237) follow closely behind, likely reaching the 300-win mark next season.

Jaypee “Jaypee” dela Cruz (201) recently hit the 200-win milestone in Game 1 against Smart Omega last Sunday, surpassing Danerie James “Wise” del Rosario. Other players eyeing the 200-win club include Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog (193), David Charles “FlapTzy” Canon (190), Kiel “Oheb” Soriano (187), and Duane “Kelra” Pillas (186).

Matches Played: Yawi and Renejay Enter Elite Territory

Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera and Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse have been in the league since Season 6, carving their own legacies and amassing massive fanbases. Both players are on the verge of reaching 100 total matches played—Yawi currently sits at 99, while Renejay follows with 98. Once they step onto the stage next week, they will become the 18th and 19th players to achieve this feat, overtaking Nathzz.

Total Kills: Edward Joins the 1,000-Kill Club

Edward is set to join the exclusive 1,000-kill club, currently sitting at 996 kills. Given his stellar performance this season, he will likely reach the milestone by Week 3.

KarlTzy, meanwhile, continues to dominate the leaderboard with 1,915 kills, nearly 500 more than second-place Hadji (1,437). At his current pace, KarlTzy could become the first player in MPL-PH history to surpass 2,000 career kills this year.

Total Assists: Pheww Approaching 3,000 Assists

Pheww is just a few assists away from reaching the monumental 3,000-assist milestone. Sitting at 2,989, he is expected to cross the threshold by Week 3 or 4, averaging 6.67 assists per game.

KarlTzy (2,574) is also set to overtake Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna (2,592) for second place all-time. Meanwhile, Alston “Sanji” Pabico recently hit the 1,500-assist mark in their match against Smart Omega.

Unique Heroes Used: Hadji and Pheww Lead the Pack

Hadji (66 heroes) and Pheww (64 heroes) have utilized the most unique heroes in MPL-PH history, showcasing their adaptability across different metas. For perspective, this is more than half of MLBB’s current hero pool of 127.

KarlTzy (57) follows in third place, while Renejay is just four heroes away from tying Carlito “Ribo” Ribo Jr. with 55. Jaypee, Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales, and former player-turned-coach Jeniel “Haze” Bata-anon trail behind with 49 heroes each.

Lowest Average Deaths: The Supers’ Incredible Survivability

Super Marco and Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez have demonstrated elite evasiveness throughout their careers.

Among players with at least 30 games played, Super Frince holds the lowest death average at 1.25 deaths per game, followed closely by Super Marco at 1.29. In contrast, Justine “Zaida” Palma (1.58) and Jhonville “Outplayed” Villar (1.61) have significantly smaller sample sizes, making their stats more volatile.

Super Frince boasts an astonishing 6.73 KDA across 197 games, putting him far ahead of second-place Arvie “Aqua” Antonio, who holds a 5.80 KDA across 334 games.

Among active players, the next best career KDA averages belong to Jayson “UK1R” Alupit (5.73 in 62 games), Super Marco (5.41 in 255 games), Zaida (5.35 in 33 games), Sanji (5.33 in 231 games), Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo (5.26 in 194 games), and Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto (5.2 in 240 games). Surprisingly, Hadji—once hailed as the “KDA Machine”—currently sits at 19th all-time.

Highest Kill Participation: Super Frince Leads Among Active Players

Kill participation (KP) measures a player’s involvement in their team’s total kills (kills + assists / total team kills). This stat highlights a player’s impact in team fights, flanks, and takedowns.

Super Frince leads all active players with an 80.15% KP, the highest ever recorded for anyone with 100 or more games. UK1R (79.6% in 62 games) also boast an incredible KP rate, but their long-term consistency remains to be seen. Yue (78.92% in 194 games) meanwhile sits near the Monster Mage.

However, the all-time highest KP belongs to Brian Milez “Spider-Milez” Sanchez, who holds an 80.92% KP over 47 games played.
