ONIC PH Picks Joy for M6 Champion Skin!

MANILA, 17 January 2025 – Exciting news for Mobile Legends fans! ONIC Philippines, the M6 World Champions, has officially chosen Joy as their hero to co-design with MOONTON Games. This collaboration is one of the perks of winning the world’s biggest MLBB tournament, hosted in Kuala Lumpur last December.

Paul Denver “Coach Yeb” Lintag Miranda, ONIC Esports Vice President for Esports Franchise, explained the choice: “Joy herself almost represents ONIC Philippines by her skills and color. Joy is one of K1ngkong’s signature heroes, and I remember when ONIC Philippines picked Joy, the crowd went crazy.”

Celebrating K1ngkong’s Incredible Performance

ONIC PH chose Joy to celebrate Cyric “K1ngkong” Perez’s incredible performance at M6. His fearless plays, lightning-fast reflexes, and clutch moments inspired the concept behind the new skin, which will be revealed later this year.

Coach Yeb shared that Joy embodies happiness and excitement, and the team wants to share those feelings with their community through the new skin. “Her story is a reflection of our own journey: a relentless pursuit of greatness, filled with challenges and determination. After years of growth and progress, we finally reached the pinnacle of success together,” he added.

Kelra to Co-Design Beatrix FMVP Skin

MOONTON Games will also give Grant “Kelra” Pillas the opportunity to co-design the hero Beatrix for his #M6MVPSkin. As the M6 World Championship’s Finals MVP, the “Gold Standard” delivered an outstanding performance, making him the first-ever player to win all Finals MVPs in three major MLBB tournaments: the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL), Mobile Legends: Southeast Asia Cup (MSC), and M Series.

“I feel happy and honored to co-design Beatrix. The FMVP skin that I will work on will help signify my legacy in MLBB Esports. I chose her because as a gold laner, I embody some of her attributes, like her ability to adapt and be precise when shooting the enemies,” said Kelra.

Exciting Collaborations and Future Plans

MOONTON Games and ONIC Philippines are currently in talks to discuss the details of the in-game commemorative skins, expected to launch in September 2025. More activities leading up to the launch will be announced!

In 2019, Indonesia’s EVOS Legends chose Harith for their commemorative M Champion skin. Bren Esports picked Lancelot, and Blacklist International designed Estes after both Philippine teams won M2 and M3 respectively. ECHO co-designed a skin for Chou, while M5 World Champions AP Bren designed Brody for its champion skin and Pacquito for its first-ever FMVP skin.
